Best RV Parks & Resorts near Graham, NC

This campground is adjacent to the NC State Fairgrounds. Sites are spacious and full hook ups. Gravel roadways and grass/gravel sites. Most sites appear to be fairly level; we did have to use blocks on one side. There are no amenities so you must be fully self-contained. There seem to be quite a few long-term campers. Campground is quiet and security staff very friendly. Equestrian facility is next door. Sites are first come first serve; no reservations.

I have stayed there twice over the past couple years.  The only changes to this Campground are the Prices !!  ..which keep going up (to $35 day now).  For this, you get a parking space with full hookups.. that's it, no Amenities whatsoever!

It's pretty much a "Camper Trap", because there are so few options in the North Carolina Piedmont.  Spaces are tight, a lot of the people there are long-term workers, that totally ignore any "Dust" decorum, speeding through the area as if they were on public streets!

We stayed in section B of the Oak Hollow Campground. It was simply a large gravel parking lot for RVs/campers. We had full hook ups and paid$45 a night for our campsite. This was the worst physical campsite we have ever had… We stepped out of our camper and if we didn’t immediately turn we would hit our head on our neighbors slide out. There was not even enough room to set up a lawn chair between our camper and the camper next to us. The hook ups were lined up at the back of the parking spot for our camper which means we had to use a ton of extensions for our water, sewage, and power. There were not any trails at the park to walk our dogs but there was plenty of grass. The staff was very nice and the campground was gated. The laundry unit was a single washer and dryer outside of each of the shower/bathroom spots and were already closed at the end of November. They had two bathroom/shower houses. The campsite featured likely over 100 camper/rv spots so two bathroom/shower houses and 2 laundry machines would not be enough. If we were not seeing family in the area, we would not have stayed here. Campsite sections A and C seem to be much more spread out, if you’re wanting to be in this area. The campsite is in High Point and is near all the amenities that you would need.

We made a mistake. My wife and I are moving to North Carolina, and we were looking for a place to stay for a month in the Asheboro area. I checked around and Deep River was the only local campground with long-term sites available, so I made the reservation. The owner, Scott, was very helpful throughout the reservation process and we thought we were going to have a good experience. 

When we showed up, Scott met us at the office and he took us to the "most level site" he had available. I was a little concerned from the start because the sewer pipe was sitting at a 45 degree angle and it was half buried in the ground. I had to help dig out the pipe and when I looked inside I noticed the connection was broken and any drainage would  have leached directly into the ground. Additionally, the sewer connection was more than 40 feet from the center of the site and I only carry 30 feet of line, so we had to back way up in order to hook-up. Unfortunately, that meant that our primary slide was within 3 feet of a giant pine tree so there was barely enough room to open it. Another problem with being so far back in the site was how unlevel the camper was. It took a while for me to get the trailer unhitched and by the time I had it nearly level, I had used all of my blocks and the jack was extended to the maximum height. Needless to say, I did not feel very comfortable with the arrangement and I was really starting to question whether or not to stay. 

Then I started looking around at the site and there was trash everywhere with broken pieces of metal and half chewed dog bones strewn about. I looked at my wife and I could tell she was not happy. So I got on my phone, called another campground and made reservations. Scott was understanding, he tried to talk us into trying another site but by that time we had decided to move on. I will give Scott credit, he didn't charge us a cancellation fee, so that was good.

A quick note, the WiFi was limited to close to the office and we would have had to pay Spectrum for a monthly internet connection. Also, Verizon cell coverage was weak.

Great stay. Minutes from the zoo. We did a three day weekend here, with a day at the zoo, and the rest of the time playing at the campground.

Sites were gravel, not all level, but not too bad. Full hook-ups, picnic table and fire pit. Extremely friendly staff.

This was the prettiest, friendliest, most peaceful campground I've ever stayed. I cannot talk about it enough! Whether you're a tenter, an RVer, or a cabin dweller, this place is a no frills, but extremely comfortable place to stay. It is so quiet. Landscaping is beautiful, but still natural. Benches throughout even in the creek to put your feet in. The BEST and cleanest bathhouse I've ever seen. Roger. Trails dispersed throughout. Some RVers live there long term. Laundry room, small store for immediate camping needs, firewood.. just a lovely, darling gem!

Moved here in November with the intentions of staying long term. Which we told to 2 different employees. One when we made the reservation and another one just days before our arrival when she called to ask us how long we would be staying. The manager didn't ask my husband how long we would be staying at check-in. In January we were told the rate for our cramped site was going up to$850 a month. And in 2 months we would have to pay the daily rate which comes to$1350. I was told by the manager that they needed the sites for traveling nurses who are essential workers. Didn't matter that my husband is a truck driver and also an essential worker during this pandemic. We would not moved here if we had been given the correct information. But I am pretty sure that we weren't told that it wasn't a long term campground because they had a lot of empty spots in November. I think they neglected to tell us so they could fill a spot and make money. Or else all of the staff is incompetent. If you plan on staying be aware that they charge 17 cents kwh for site 29. According to the helpful woman at Duke Energy, the site next to us was paying just over 9 cents a kwh. Our site and some of the others weren't showing up on their list. Internet was mostly good. Water pressure was horrible in the mornings when there were a lot of people there. The noise from the interstate is constant and loud. The dryers are kind of ineffective. Site was uneven, muddy and the RV next door was angled very close to ours. RV vehicle across the road nearly hit ours every time he backed out. The manager was snippy and rude sometimes when you go to get the mail. One day you can come in and get it and then next day you are reprimanded for opening the door. Which has a sign that says to come on in. Best to find somewhere else to stay. Unless tight quarters, rudeness and noise are your thing.

Took a weekend trip to Deep River Campground in Asheboro, NC. Very well kept, level spots, pet friendly, big rig friendly with pull through and back-in sites available. Full hook-ups (50 & 30 amp). Fire pit and picnic tables at each site. About $40 a night, no deposit required. With weekly and monthly rates as well. 2 pools (currently closed due to covid), game room, store, and private pond. Located minutes away from multiple trail heads. We were on lot 20, which is a double space designed for a larger rig, very private with lots of shade.

This was our very first full-time RV park. We loved being in the park and it easily accommodated our 39ft. Class A. Back-in site but with plenty of room to do so. Each site has water and electric hook-up. Sewer however is a dump station. The sites are big with a picnic table, fire pit and lantern hook. Plenty to do here with the lake at your fingertips. Great first experience.

The state park has excellent hiking trails and the RV park is located in an excellent location to use them.

The sites are huge, level, and clean. The bathhouse is clean and modern. While there aren’t many recreational amenities besides the hiking, the price makes this park an excellent value.

Level campground with full hookups. Worked great to explore Raleigh.

Holly Bluff is ok for a quiet getaway. It's an older place that they're trying to keep up with decent landscaping, etc. The mini-golf was in disrepair and closed. The game room was locked. The pool was good. The staff is friendly. Many 'permanent' trailers are in place, with gaudy outside decorations. Dog friendly, but we saw some running free. Hookups, picnic tables, and fire rings were on level sites. Rates are good, but they only accept cash or check.

The sites are level, not much shade. Garbage cans everywhere. Convenient to get into and out of with full hookup. There are no amenities at all but security drives around. Felt safe. Across from stadium. Price is worth the value.

The RV campground is well spaced and have full hookup. It was a great bathhouse that is kept very clean. Lots of hiking trails to explore and a very nice visitors center. The only negatives is that the RV campground is actually not in the park although only a .5 mile hike away.

Reserve online to assure a spot. Every single space is HUGE, even the tent only sites. Lake views are everywhere. There are various loops for tents and RV's. Water for tents; water and electric for campers. 2 different dump sites. Firewood in 2019 is $5. Must be in the campground by 8 pm before the gates are locked.

Beaches will be cleaned up after heavy spring rains. Plenty of sand for swimming, boat docks, and fishing.

Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh easy drives for sightseeing. Weekend camping traffic is gone and there has been silence.

Will probably be crazy here in the summer but would like to return in the fall mid-week.

We stayed for 12 days in the section with full hookups and found the campground pretty quiet. The lots were close, but you didn't feel crowded. Some shade from oak trees. All spaces are back-in. Our site was level.

Staff was friendly, responsive and helpful. First-come rentals. Some construction adjacent to the site which had morning noise M-F.

Biggest issue is that the grass doesn't seem to be maintained and dusty.
