Hippie Chickpea Estate

On the far western corner of the Hippie Chickpea Estate, you will find yourself surrounded by trees bordering grass pastures where cows graze from the neighboring farm.

From this spot, you can hear the live music from Bethel Woods Center For The Arts throughout all the warm months while watching the sunset between the trees. This experience can bring you back to the summer of 1969 when almost half a million people swarmed this area to participate in a pivotal moment in music history. Just like they came, so can you.

We are patiently waiting to give you a warm welcome and help your stay be as comfortable and rejuvenating as possible. Regarding sleeping arrangements, you will have to bring your tent or tarp. On summer nights where rain is not expected, you can sleep under the stars. There is a cabin which is on the way… We have a portable toilet, water, and electricity as needed. There’s a fire pit with some firewood only waiting to be lit.

We are located right off New York State Route 17B, which means you are close to everything and anything you might want, including a midnight munch. This area accommodates many fun and exciting activities for adults and children alike. We are five minutes from White Lake, where boats can be rented as well as enjoying a refreshing swim and much more. Seven minutes to Bethel Woods Center For The Arts features a modern outdoor amphitheater. Fourteen minutes to Monticcello Racway which hosts races year-round.
