Sites with either electric or not. The electric sites were fairly full (note these are located near the highway) I went for the primitive. Not overly maintained. Some sites were hard to see. There are pit toilets, but from the primitives it is several hundred yards away. Down in the primitive there were no other campers.

We received a text the day prior welcoming us and asking us not to arrive before 1:00 PM Mountain Time plus let them know our estimated arrival time. This campground is just across the Mountain time zone as you head West. There were also instructions on where to park. We were met outside as we arrived and check-in was quick. We were escorted to a standard pull-through site 35 with FHUs. The first thing we noticed was how immaculate the campground(CG) was kept. Our site was plenty long enough for our 40’ 5th wheel and our F450. The utilities are in the middle with two sewer choices(nice!). The water pressure was good at around 50 psi. We were told at check-in that the Wifi was good enough to stream so we did not put out our Starlink for this overnighter and the Wifi performed well. We got 4 bars on Verizon. The sites are well-spaced especially for a KOA and their premium sites are really nice. Along with the regular fenced dog areas, they have several K-9 sites with private fenced dog areas. The CG is right off I-80, so you will have highway noise. Have to say this is one of the better laid out and managed KOA Journeys we’ve stayed. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a great free camping site in western Kansas right off 36 Hwy. Free for tents and RV’s if you boondock. $25 fee to hookup to electric and water. Shower house and bathrooms were a little run down, but worked just the same as a 5 star hotel. Pizza Hut, Dollar General and gas stations within walking distance. Our stay was quiet and we were the only campers. Right behind the city public works facility so there was some noise and traffic there but not at all annoying.
GuideI like this KOA they have put a lot of effort and money into it. A couple of issues really close to I 80 and as of July 2024 have construction hard to get into the road.
TravelerI loved this spot. It was a Hail Mary when road tripping without much else around! There are men’s and women’s showers/bathrooms, but there were dead crickets everywhere and didn’t seem to be well maintained (no shower curtain either). That said, it was a hot, free shower after days on the road, so I thought it was great. Lots of flat land and several spots. Very very windy at night.
RangerClean campground, level gravel sites. Easy on and off to I80, but road noise as a result all day and night. Verizon cell signal was strong. Clean bathrooms and showers. Laundry available. Playground for kids, dog park for furry friends. Most sites are in open, a handful of sites had limited shade. Campground itself was quiet. Staff was friendly, staff escorts you to your site and directs you in. Garbage dumpster across from bathhouse. Small store in main building.

This is a fantastic Journey KOA. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We stayed for an evening and were able to get all of our needs fulfilled. The layout was effective for departure in the morning as well. We even walked to the DQ about a 15 minute walk away.
GuideI stayed at a tent site and it was small and very close to other campers (it’s like a parking lot in size and closeness), but I liked feeling a part of a community. If you want some space though, it may not be for you (with tent camping that’s all they have). Big plus for me since it was so cold and windy, was that the restrooms and office were right next to me. They also offered to leave firewood that I wanted in my site, and in case of rain ended up setting it inside at the registration lobby since I came after office hours. One staff member checked to make sure I found everything okay and I appreciated that. They have a K-9 enclosure for a bit of pupper exercise, a playground, and a pool when it is in season. Not much of a view anywhere but they have cool old pioneer wagons all around so that was neat. No complaints and if it weren’t so windy I would have really enjoyed having a cozy site near possible new friends.

GuideThere's a lot of amenities is this off the main road KOA. I highly recommend this. Pool, dog walk area, clean bathrooms and showers. Little camp store. Extremely quiet and relaxing.

GuideAs one of the other reviews says - not the most picturesque location, being right by the interstate, but the owner was super nice and helpful. Great facilities. Use of indoor lounge area, with basic cooking facilities. Discount for cash. Highly recommended.

We called ahead and were told there was plenty of space and that they did not take reservations so we headed over there. When we got there, there was plenty of rv spots and the camp host told us to go down the far left dirt road to find a private spot by the lake.. there were some open spots but there was a lot of garbage and obvious areas of human feces, toilet paper and paper towels. The fire pits were piled with all kinds of garbage that probably needed gloves and hazmat suit to clean up. We are camping across the country with our 2 dogs and a young toddler and we did not feel it was safe to have out dogs or kid at these spaces due to the amount of garbage and whatever else was piled in there. That being said there were large groups of people camping at some of the other spots along the lake and seemed ok. We are driving a SUV with a cargo carrier on the hitch and found some of the road to be too uneven to drive with the rack on the back without scrapping.
Pros- they have a variety of very beautiful birds.
Definitely do not forget your bug spray as the flies bite hard and the ticks are thick.
ScoutThe bathroom and shower facilities were so wonderful - very clean and nice to use! We also appreciated them only being accessible by keycode. Very quiet campground despite several other motorhomes - note we stayed over only one night, on a Tuesday, so can't speak to weekend traffic/noise. Will stay again if/when coming back through.

Few other RVs were there when we camped May 1, 2023. They were doing a lot of work upgrading some sites with lovely concrete pads and gravel.

If you know what to expect in eastern Colorado this place will be great. We needed a spot to stay overnight on a trip to the Denver area and Wray was just the spot. Full hook ups, nice showers, even laundry. Looks like some area workers may use this for full time rv’ing, but it was very quiet. Kody and his wife were very easy to reach and communication was great. They really made it easy to make a reservation. Plus, the sunset was pretty awesome. Not The prettiest campground, but it fit the bill for us.

This spot right off I-80 could be a great spot IF the owners even cared enough to mow good & weed eat. Full hook-ups for $25 +tax is a deal these days, that’s why we stayed. It appears that they’ve brought in dilapidated trailers, & most likely try to rent them out.

GuideGreat spot for a quick overnight stop. Clean, level, and updated sites, especially KOA Patio sites with paver patios, stone fire pits, and LP grills. Friendly staff, nice store, and prompt service. The noise from I-80 was minimal to us, as we didn’t even recognize it (didn’t hear one set of engine brakes at night). Park is lacking in “kids activities”, as this is a Journey and not a Holiday, but if you can accept that, you’ll be fine. Figure this site is perfect for folks going to/coming from the Rockies, needing a place to sleep for a night along the way. Will definitely stay again if we are out this way!
