Best Glamping near Glacier National Park

Several glamping options line the eastern edge of Glacier National Park near the St. Mary entrance. Fancy yurts with heating and air conditioning make it easy to stay comfortable regardless of Montana's changing mountain weather. You'll find real beds with quality mattresses instead of sleeping bags on the ground at these sites. The West Glacier KOA has safari-style tents furnished with actual beds and nice linens, giving you a camping feel without sacrificing comfort. Most glamping sites around Glacier include electricity, which traditional campsites lack. These upscale spots sit close enough to park entrances that you won't waste time driving when you could be hiking. Some properties even provide staff who can arrange activities or answer questions about the area. After a day exploring Glacier's trails, you'll appreciate returning to a comfortable bed rather than a tent. These sites fill up quickly during summer, so book well ahead of your trip. Reservations are essential for all glamping options in the area, with many requiring deposits. The combination of wild surroundings and comfortable accommodations makes Glacier an excellent place to try glamping for the first time.

    West Glacier KOA Resort

    Beautiful campground

Minutes away from Glacier National Park, this camp ground has it all. From cabins to RV sites to tent camping, there is something for everyone. We stayed in a tent. The bathroom's we're not too far away. It was nice to have a restaurant on site (that doubles as a coffee bar). The play structure is great for kids. We did not use the pools, but they looked nice from a distance.

    West Glacier KOA Resort

    Beauty, nestled against the mountains

    9/13/19 West Glacier, Montana

    West Glacier KOA Resort

Most beautiful location of the KOAs I've stayed at. Nestled against the mountains and less than 3 miles to Glacier National Park.

Lots of sites to choose from. Ours was a pull thru with nice vegetation between. Fire pit with benches and picnic table. Some sites are close together with no privacy. Some have gas grills and patio furniture. There are cabins and tent sites as well. Bathhouse was average. The cafe was open for breakfast and dinner.Ice cream shop closed for the season. Amazing pool! Nice play area, dog parks. Really nice camp store, firewood available. KOA Workshop on site. RV wash and dog grooming by appointment.

    Glacier Peaks RV Park

    Springboard to good things

Sure, I have a bias against tent camping in RV Land.  There's usually no tree coverage, all the spaces are the same, and you have to deal with fumes, motors and people who are, essentially, driving around large living rooms.  That said, there are some good folks to meet, colorful camphosts and extreme ease of setup.  This spot, while not the sexiest, checks off a lot of boxes.  You have lots of mountains, lakes, the glorious Glacier National Park nearby and some cute cabins.

    Glacier Campground

    Perfect for Glacier

This was a cozy campground with AMAZING staff. Spots are a bit small wouldn’t recommend larger than a 30ft trailer. Water and electric (30amp only). Because wall the spots are nestled in the trees you definitely feel like you’ve got you’re personal space. Nice clean showers and laundry. They even have a cute cafe that is open for breakfast and dinner. A hidden gem! Less than a mile from West Glacier entrance. Currently reservations are only by phone but the owner said they were going to online soon. Would stay here anytime we visited Glacier.

    Glacier Campground

    Great Location to the Park

Glacier Campground is just a few miles outside of the west entrance of Glacier National Park. The campground is clean, and the hosts are friendly. We stayed in a cabin that had one twin bunk bed and on twin over queen bunk bed. It also had a mini fridge and microwave. You need to bring your own bedding, but the cabins are new and really cute. Worked perfect for us.

Moose Creek RV Resort and Bed & Breakfast

    Location, location, location!

Glacier National Park was the ultimate destination for our two-week anniversary trip, so we wanted to be very close to the park so that we could make the most of our time there. Moose Creek did not disappoint! We stayed here for four nights at Site 12, while our friends occupied Site 11. After reading on the website that our GPS may not be reliable, we called and got more specific directions from Katie and easily found the campground off of Highway 2.

Checking in was a breeze as was setting up. At Site 12, we had to be careful of trees obstructing our slide and awning, but we figured that out pretty quickly. The site was shady and had various wildflowers. Ground squirrels and robins were in abundance and fun to watch. Our only disappointment was the highway noise. We weren’t expecting that but eventually were able to tune it out. Other than the highway noise, the campground was quiet during our stay.

We utilized the laundry facility during our first day. We were able to get a $10 roll of quarters from the front desk and knock out our laundry fairly quickly. The washers are pretty small but the dryers are huge, so plan accordingly. We never used the bathrooms or showers, so I can’t comment on their state. The communal fire area was really cute, but we opted to use our own propane fire pit at our site. We toured the other sites and loved the primitive sites at the back of the campground as they afforded campers more privacy.

Most of our time on this leg of our journey was spent in Glacier exploring the beautiful park, and Moose Creek served our needs as a home base for our first trip to the area. We would definitely stay here again! We really enjoyed the clean grounds, proximity to Glacier, friendly staff, and full hookups.

    LaSalle RV Park

Great Laundry and Shower Facility but Noisy on the Highway

We stayed here so we could leave our trailer and drive the Going-to-the-Sun road in Glacier National Park. Worked Great.

Park was very noise with road noise since its on the highway. Not unlike most RV parks.

Little fenced in dog area was a nice place to let the pooch run around without a leash.

Laundry and Shower facility was great, they give you a code at check in and so you can use the laundry or shower whenever its convenient. Felt very clean and secure.
