Peaceful
There are 2 loops. The lower has large sites meant for mostly tenters, but if your tv can fit you can use it. I think there are several sites that would work for an rv in that loop. They have gravel pads, but the ground slopes down right off the pad in many of these sites. Not ideal to put your rug out, but we’ve always made it work. The upper loop have paved pads where many rv’s can fit. It’s rustic with pit toilets and water. It’s always clean. The day access lake area has 2 put toilets with stairs and a ramp leading down to the beach. The beach is all sand, no seaweed in the water. It’s a perfect swimming area.

Peaceful National Forest Campground
Very nice campground on Kneff Lake in the Huron-Manistee National Forest. The campground road is blacktop in great condition. There are 2 loops. The lower loop (1-18) has gravel spurs and the upper loop (19-27) has blacktop spurs. Sites are generously sized and fairly well spaced. This is dry camping and is first come first served. Pit toilets are clean and well maintained. Trash receptacles at each toilet. Drinking water spigots throughout the campground, each with a bucket for you to use to put out your campfire. Camp hosts are friendly, helpful, and make frequent rounds. Day use area has a nice swimming beach. Max length on campground’s website is misleading. Had no problem staying here with our 35’ fifth wheel and RAM 3500 dually on site 26 in the upper loop. There several spurs on the upper loop in the 60’ to 70’ range. No firewood for sale but many locals sell it nearby. Close to several canoe liveries and there is a convenient party store a mile away.
Great sites
I camped at kneff lake federal land for two weeks. then came back for my last two weeks of camping. very peaceful not to many people. great spots to set up camp.with a hill going down to the wonderest small deep lake. trees surounding the lake that's at the bottom of a circle of trees on hills. great place!
