Beautiful campground

This campground offers breathtaking views of Tahquamenon falls. I prefer to visit this campground in the spring because it is full of tourists in the summer months.

Great campground in the U.P.

This campground offers awesome views of Lake Michigan from the U.P. I camped here on a night where I could hear storms rolling over the lake which was pretty neat to fall asleep to.

Very secluded campground

This campground is beautifully located in the middle of Huron-Manistee national forest. It offers access to Kneff lake, a small, man-made lake, which is great for kayaking/ swimming as it is relatively calm. In order to get there, however, requires a lot of driving through dirt roads.

Beautiful campground right on Lake Huron

This campground offers beautiful views of the lake with excellent beach access. There is also a portion of the beach where dogs are allowed.

Beautiful, rustic campground

This place is awesome for rustic camping. There are stunning views of the lake which is just a short hike from the campsites. these sites fill up fast in the summer months

Favorite place to camp in the U.P.

Right on Lake Superior and the North Country Trail! Also, it is just moments from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and Grand Marais. Our pup loved running on the beach.

One of my favorite places to camp in the lower peninsula.

I love driving down M22 to this state park. It’s rustic with beautiful views of Lake Michigan. There are a few sites which are right on the sand which I recommend if you don’t mind a little sand in your tent. definitely check out all of the quaint little towns in the area, especially Glen Arbor and Sutton’s Bay!

Great place to camp, bike, and hike!

I love coming to Pigeon River not only because it is secluded and peaceful, but because there are so many things to do in the area. The Shingle Mill Pathway (a roughly 10 mile loop trail) runs right through the camgrounds which is ideal for hiking, backpacking, and mountain biking. The river is also great for fly fishing and floating down If you decide to bring a tube. The best place to camp is right on the river which is lovely to fall asleep to at night. Beware of the bugs! Also, there is no cell service.

Great place to pitch a tent.

Blind Sucker campground made our August of 2017 camping trip enjoyable and unforgettable. Our rustic camp site was located right on the North Country Trail which was ideal for morning hiking and adventuring. Also, there is access to Blind Sucker flooding where you fish and kayak. This campground was approximately a 35 min drive from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and only 25 min from Grand Marais (an awesome little town right on Lake Superior).

Beautiful, quiet, peaceful.

Relatively quiet and secluded, Jewell Lake campground resides in the Huron-manistee National Forest. Our campsite was great with plenty of room to house three tents as well as a fire pit and picnic table. There is access to Jewell Lake from the campground where there is a small beach, dock, and boat launch. Beware, there are no park rangers on duty 24/7 at the campground or a camp store, however Barton city is only a few minutes away where they have a quaint general store.
