Follow the signs to “ camping”. There was nobody there and a pretty awesome playground for the kids. clean accessible and a drive through a quaint little town. What else could you ask for?
Clean, well kept off beaten path. Has storm shelter. Fish cleaning station.
Stopped here on my way to Nebraska and it did the job, but would have driven further to a rest stop if I had the energy. Train comes through around 3 and 5am blowing its horn for 10 seconds. You’re also surrounded by homes so you hear the families and their dogs. There’s electrical, water and…
Road improvement 2021 is nice, cutting down the shade trees, not nice.
This is a regular stop on my campground rotation. Camp host's are the best ever. Clean facilities. Has both shaded and open spots, yurts, trails. There are lots of activities, kids can swim below the ford, canoe starting on…
Couple miles north of dexter, on gravel, next to public lake, hunting reserve. Would serve as overnight, or for construction worker's site. I scouted as not far from home, decided not worth effort to try out.
About 1.5 mile hike to camp, nice moderate hike with wide trails. Listened to deer rutting all night and coyotes howling. Can’t wait to go again!

I've hiked in Pammel before, and LOVE the area. We drive by the campground on our way down to the family farm on the regular, but staying in the grounds overnight was a whole different experience! We stayed with friends on sites 8 and 9 this past weekend. The concrete pads were awesome for leveling…

Very nice and quite location when I went mid September. Seems like a lot of trails to explore. Will go back again to explore more. Lots of hills.
We been to Viking Lake a few times over the years. And it has been cool to see this place evolve over time. They did drain this lake a few years back. But this little place has a lot to offer for campers. There trails, fishing, and kayaking. There is also a swimming area and beach and clean…
Not overly impressed with this park. Sites were crammed together, not well maintained, and a lot of partying until 3am every night from young campers. Definitely seemed like a teenage hangout spot, without any redeeming qualities to make it worth the noise issues. The drive in was almost worth the…
A great spot for camping and RVing. Super friendly staff and great amenities. Only downside was there were no bathrooms.
First time visiting this park and will be returning! Pretty spacious between sites. Trails were great and our kids loved swimming in the lake.

Sites are close together, but it wasn't crowded while we were here. Due to Coronavirus the restrooms and showers were closed, so I can not report on them. Would have liked to do the Winnebago factory tour but that was closed down as well.
Nice small park settle nicely in the iowa country side!
This is one off the prettiest places we have been camping at and will be going back again. Camp sites are spread apart giving u room to do things on ur camp site.
