Pokagon State Park Campground offers over 500 campsites with electric hookups and full bathroom facilities. Sites are nicely separated and shaded, providing a sense of privacy even when the campground is full. The park connects to a network of trails, with many extending beyond park boundaries. Winter campers can access the park's famous toboggan run while summer visitors enjoy swimming at the park's beach area and boating opportunities on Lake James.

What campers like
Spacious, private sites: Many campgrounds offer well-separated camping areas. "Sites are nicely separated and shaded. There's an inn, restaurant, cabins, boat rentals, horseback riding, bike trails, beach, toboggan run, etc. Tons of picnic areas and pavilions; would be a great spot for a family reunion," says Amy K. about Harrison Lake State Park Campground.
Clean facilities: Campgrounds in this region maintain high standards for bathrooms and showers. "The bathroom and shower facilities were clean and updated. We will definitely be camping there again!" reports Mary H. about Pokagon State Park.
Water recreation: Access to lakes is a major draw for glamping close to Hamilton, Indiana. "They have a new pool and lazy river which is fantastic. There's an inflatable obstacle course on the lake. They have docks, pontoon rentals and a launch if you wish to bring your own boat," shares Doug A. about Angola/Hogback Lake KOA.
Cycling trails: The area features extensive biking networks. "Only electric hookups, but good for a short weekend. Best bike orbs, horseback riding, and quiet," notes Kristen S. about Pokagon State Park.
