Clean, somewhat quiet. Absolutely beautiful

We got very lucky and got the last site available for the night. We were only supposed to spend the night and continue on but we lingered for hours, not wanting to leave!

Fantastic!

So happy we chose POMO for our recent trip to Fort Bragg. This was our first trip of any distance in our first camper. The sites are wonderful. We had water and ectric hookups and the site was very my nice. Lots of trees and brush between sites and included a fire pit and picnic table. Staff was…

What's not to like?

Nice campground. Easy access to Fallen Leaf Lake and Lake Tahoe. Sites clean and well maintained. Lots of campers, yet quiet. Only downfall is that it's popular. Off season best option.

  • Visitor on the way into camp.

A good KOA

Nice escape. Kinda last minute reservations, but it turned out to be a nice spot. Roads were muddy, but it was January. Kinda pricy, but nice facilities even during COVID. One site had a NINJA setup for their kids. Pretty cool.

Fires on the beach.

Quiet in the off season. Fires on the beach are great. Rediscovered this place in February and have reservations for November. Only down side is if you make reservations in person, they don't guarantee you that spot.

  • Fire on the beach with wine. It doesn't get much better.

Sunny retreat

The campsite was very quiet. The space in our site was large and there was a good buffer with other sites. The trees also offered a lot of shade during the hot summer days. The bathrooms and showers were really nice. Barely used by others and no lines whatsoever. If you want to go swimming you…

Great Site

We stayed here on site #35.  Cable, water, and electric, and it was worth not having sewer connection. Site has a table and firepit.   I put the leveling jack down, but the RV was level without putting them down.  Private, and quiet, with beautiful flower and bushes.  If you want wifi and great…

Great camp ground surrounded by sequias

Camp provides showers, bathrooms, water, trash/recycling, fire rings and benches. The spots are very large. They take reservations as drive up day of (if they have space). It’s a little pricy but hey, it’s a state park.

All the Beauty of Tahoe with a fraction of the crowds

Fallen Leaf Lake Campground is a sweet spot to get away. It is just south of South Lake Tahoe, and generally won't be as crowded. Weekends get busy for sure. We have been several times and my 3 boys loved being near the mountains, out of the heat, and so close to an awesome body of water. …

Great views

Really beautiful campground that is first come, first served. The drive to it is pretty as well. The sites are all out in the open so it can get really windy and you can hear your neighbors if they are loud. The Dyrt’s info is all wrong also: there are no hookups of any kind, no WiFi, very little…

Hidden Gem

This place was a true hidden gem. I didn't understand why there were cabins available when usually everything in California is booked up months in advance!

This park I think only has rustic cabins, no tent/RV sites. We booked through hipcamp. They are all spaced out very nicely, with some…

Great family time

Great lake to go camping with a family. Had great swimming and a nice little hiking trail. There are only a few spots so it makes it nice. Hotter during the summer months. Would be nice to camp either spring or fall.

Amazing spot

Loved this campground. Showers and laundry not available due to COVID but this place was worth it. A bit pricey but they maintain the park really well. $75-$85 means usually you can find a spot here.

Amazing amenities but a little pricey

KOA is awesome for campers who aren't ready to be completely off the grid, which most people in my group were. Their bathrooms are clean. Hot shower (!!) and hot tub (but you have to sign-up early or the spots run out quick, each party has 30 mins slot due to Covid restriction).

I took off a…
