On Lake Michigan. Large, private cement pad sites. Spotlessly clean. Full hookups. Bath and laundry facilities are some of the nicest I have ever seen. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Campers were also friendly. Great beach walking area. Some traffic noise from nearby highway, but it was quiet at night. Wind off the lake was chilly, but views were stunning.
Large, level electric sites. Very large campground in general. Since we were there in September and mid week, it was quiet. Bath house clean, but a bit outdated. Nice beach and swimming area. Dog park and beach area for dogs. Large, grassy recreation area and nice playground. Park hosts on site with daily activities for campers. Town is nearby with restaurants, shopping, etc. Burt Lake is stunning. Bring your kayaks, boats, and fishing gear.
Isolated, quiet park on Lake Michigan. Nicely spaced and shaded sites. Some level, many not so great. Big fire rings. Picnic tables. Electric hookups only. Bath and shower facilities very new and nice. Spotty phone service. Historic ghost town within walking distance of the campground. Many buildings open during the day with displays of what life was like when the town was occupied. Great history lesson and very interesting. Although town buildings were locked at night, you could still walk the streets. Spooky but fun! Sunsets on the lake are spectacular. Many hiking trails around the park. Not strenuous and fairly short. However, trails could use better markings.
Stopped on a Sunday night without reservations. Nice, quiet campground between 2 small lakes and next to a deer park. Large, level sites with electric hookups. Campground allowed nightly to monthly rental. Some trailers appeared to have been there long periods of time. Bathrooms and showers older but very clean.
Needed an overnight spot on our way north, off season for camping in this area. Called mid afternoon for availability and spoke with John who promptly told us he would hold a site for us. Large campground that has a few full hookup sites open year around. We were given a site between a couple of traveling workers. Both came out to greet us which was very nice. Site was a bit small but certainly ok for a night's stay. Many larger sites farther back in the closed area. Full hook-ups. Level gravel. Picnic table available. Laundry and restrooms very clean. Playground, pavilion for movies, dog area, frog pond, hiking trails and beautiful woods. A few camping supplies available in the office. This would be a fun getaway for families in the summer months.
Ok for a night. Easy 15 min drive to downtown Memphis for sightseeing. In a low lying area and it had rained earlier in the week. Campground very wet. Lots of puddles and muck. Should have used the gravel pile at the back of the campground to fill in potholes. Bathhouse clean but in a slight state of disrepair like loose toilets. Amenities included pool, playground, store, cafe, dog park, horseshoes, beanbag, ladder ball, bikes. Staff very nice.
Beautiful, quiet country setting. Loved it!! Saw deer, many birds and gorgeous sunsets. Spacious sites with cement pads. Full hook-ups except cable. Able to get multiple channels with antenna only. Very nice clubhouse, pool, restrooms and laundry. Everything inside and out is immaculate. Fenced dog park with toys and obstacles. Gated RV park so only park guests are driving in. Manager, Stacey, cheerful and kind. Obviously enjoys her job. Park is within easy driving distance to 4 state parks and several small towns so we took day trips to sightsee. Would definitely stay here again if back in the area.
Seems secluded even though along Hwy 98. Pretty, wooded sites. Many align the 3 ponds in the park. There is a gazebo/ dock over one of the ponds where you can sit and relax. Turtles come up to the dock begging for something to eat. We went to Walmart just to buy proper turtle food. It was a lot of fun to watch and feed them. There is also a community fire pit, horseshoes, swimming pool, and shuffleboard. An open field serves as a place for dogs to run. There is even an outdoor dog wash. The sites are gravel and quite level. Full hook-ups. There is a cement pad for the picnic table. Some sites have a small screen house for the table. Laundry and restrooms are clean and nice. The beach is about a 10 minute drive away. There is plenty of shopping and restaurants closer, but would avoid walking due to traffic on Hwy 98. Do not attempt to check-in early as a $25 fee will be added to your bill. We were told to park just outside the office for 20 minutes until time to check-in, although we were also told our site was ready. This seemed a little unnecessary. My only complaint is the staff seemed a bit “standoffish” with any of our interactions.
Very clean, friendly park. Cement pad sites with all hookups. Easy walk to beach and restaurants. Dog park on site.
Smaller RV park. Clean & well kept. Sites are spacious and level. Restrooms and laundry are very clean. Park has east and west sides divided by a foot bridge over water. Fishing allowed from bridge. Pelicans always roosting near bridge were fun to watch. Owners are delightful. Park along busy highway, so some traffic noise, but not bad. Not much within walking distance of the park, but would not want to walk along the highway anyway. Biting No-see-ums at dusk which made sitting out uncomfortable.
Nice large sites. Many with full hook-ups. Clean, well cared for park. Fishing, hiking in park. Golf course next-door.
