    Nice overnight

We reserved a pull thru for an overnight stay between Memphis and Springfield, MO. This was right on the highway, but no road noise. Check in was super easy, full hook ups and easy in and out. Looks like they changed the name to Silver Springs RV park. Enjoyed the pool.

    Sylamore Creek Camp

    Great site!

We love this campground. We love having direct access to creek. It is kayak, family, pet friendly. The only thing it is lacking is internet connection, which for us is a plus for disconnecting. All sites are reasonably level. Site F is the premium and most secluded full hook up site. They have all levels of sites: primitive, water and electric, or full. Their small store has firewood and many other convenient items for sale. We take our own kayaks, but they do have rentals. They have public showers and restrooms, but the restrooms are currently closed due to renovations. It’s really one of our favorite local sites to camp.

Alley Spring Campground — Ozark National Scenic Riverway

    Simple and spacious!

This campground is very large thus always having availability for tent camping! They have ranger presentations on weekend evenings about the local wildlife and rivers and springs-Jacks Fork & Current River that are very informative! Great place to bring family and an equally reasonable price!! Offers group camping too! Harvey Kayak and Canoe rentals is right around the corner and will pick you up right at your campsite! I highly recommend this campground. They also have RV hookups and a private beach!

    Road Runner RV Park

    Nicely spaced and clean campground

We stayed at this campground 1 night on our way between COVID-19 quarantine locations.  We found the park easy to navigate (no tight turns).  Large semi paved spaces (I say semi paved because the concrete pads were crumbling at least in our spot).  Good separation between sites with picnic tables, no shade but they do have a dog park.  Hookups were easy to reach and appeared to be in good repair.  Decent water pressure.  Many of the spaces were permanent campers or long term workers but it felt safe and appeared well maintained.

    new campground with great facilities

New campground. We stayed in site 1, which was a pull through with full hook ups. Each site has a designated tent pad as well as a lantern hook. Sites on the outside of the loop back up to the woods, sites on the inside of the loop are more exposed to other campsites. Staff was very friendly, bathroom and shower accommodations were clean and well maintained.

    Current River Campground

    Not particularly worth it.

Location is great. The campground is on the basic side, with gravel and dirt everywhere. Not an issue, if that's what you're expecting.

We were in site 45 and our friends in site 46. These are both 30 amp sites, no sewer, and we both have 50 amp service. This shouldn't be a problem, assuming we're pulling less than 30 amps. With 1 AC running, were only pulling less than 15 amps, but still having multiple electrical issues the whole weekend. Both sites ended up having to run our generators most of the time we were here. The staff did come out and take a look at the pedestals, and even replaced the breaker on ours. We were told that because we were at the end of the line, and we had big rigs, that it was causing issues. However, it shouldn't be causing an issue if we weren't pulling more than 30 amps, which we weren't. (On a normal 30 amp service, our rig will run 2 ac units without issue.) Multiple times, we were receiving less than 100 volts, which shut our Bulldog EPO off.

We went to check at the office as we left for the dump station location. I was told that they could dump for you for $20 or, you could back into a full hook up site and dump for a $5 fee. We have been full time since November and this is the 1st time I've encountered needing to pay to dump when full hokkups weren't available. I double checked the website and couldn't find anything that mentioned a fee to dump.

The staff did credit us 1 night stay and we didn't end up having to pay to dump.

Long story short, definitely paid for the location to the river. We backed up onto the water and let down our ramp/patio for a nice view.

    Ozarks Mountain Springs RV Park

    Wonderful campground!

If you’re traveling through southern Missouri and looking for a park to stay in, this is a great choice! Right off the interstate and easy to get in to. Site are graveled and level, and most are full hookups. The majority also have picnic table and fire pit. Plenty of potty spots for the babies scattered throughout the park and a 25 acre trail area. John, the owner, is a great guy! Friendly and welcoming, he keeps the park well maintained. Will definitely be using again!

    Sylamore Creek Camp

    Family-owned, beautiful and quiet

We have stated this camp many times over the past several years. We have stayed both directly on the creek and on the upper full hookup sites. We could not be happier with this campground. It is safe family friendly and quiet. The owners do not put up with loud music or loud parties. It is a great place for a family

    Clean woodsy Rv Park

We stopped for 1 night on the way to Wyoming it is way off the beaten path but what a nice campground. The owners were selling it when we were there they had it a long time. The Pool was so cool and refreshing and no one was there. There's nothing around there so come prepared. There are rolling hills, narrow road and paved.

We almost had the place to ourselves so quiet and well maintained.

    Sylamore Creek Camp

worst campground we have been to

We had a terrible experience camping here over the weekend. We were expecting a nice quiet family outing with friends but that is not what we got. I have never been to a rv park where there is a haunted hayride and haunted house on site only feet away from campers but we also had to listen to screaming, banging, chainsaws and tractors running until 10pm each night. So the kids decided to check out the hayride and haunted house with the moms and did so but were to chicken to go through the house. So i challenged the older kids to go through the house with me. So we made our way over to the house and were met with an upset clown that said we had to go to the office to get our vouchers because the kids had been through the house too many times already. So we go and get the vouchers and go on the hayride without any problems when we pull back up to the house the clown then confronts me and tells me i need to tell the kids to stop throwing rocks during the hayride. I said who and then asked the kids if they did and they said no and he continues to accuse them of throwing rocks. I then confront this clown about accusing my kids of doing something and he then starts dropping f bombs left and right and starts threating to call the cops which i said please do but i guess decided not to. So after a few back and forth words i decide to leave the situation and take the kids back to the camper and he proceeds to follow me and continue to use the f word repeatedly. I can say i will never be back to this clown of a campground and would not want my worst enemy staying here. Their sign says no cussing or you will be escorted off the premises but i guess that only applies to the guests not the employees. The sign also says beware of clowns. So do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or money on this clown of a place.

    Great Place with Homey Feel

$10 per night, firewood, ice, and more amenities on site.  The owner is so nice.  His dog Lil' Dan also slept with me.  There is a horse next to the camp sites and it's just so beautiful.  Float launches from the campground, so convenient.  Close to Grand Gulf, Greer Spring, Mammoth Spring, and right on beautiful highway 19.  I will be back soon!

    Dam - Quarry

    River view

Decent campground with excellent trout fishing! The campground layout was kinda weird and the dump station was in an odd spot. However, we had a nice river front site that we really enjoyed. Lots of nice people in the campground and on the river. Be sure to visit the hatchery across the street. . Limited AT&T service. Individual Private suite style bathrooms. Playground. No store, no firewood for sale. Level sites. Several sites have covers over the picnic tables. .

Good things come in small packages

This is a small site but you get all the trimmings. Mature trees water sites flush toilets showers electrical hook ups. COE Book states “first come first serve.” So far all the sites we have been to recently are by reservations. There is a boat ramp but one thing to be aware of is that if it has been a rainy season sites will be under water.

    Nice place

Nice place but he's a little high on price for electric only hookups. Tent is $10 a night and $5 a head. Camper/rv is $15 a night + $15 a night for electric and $5 a head. But its right on spring River and has a brand new boat ramp.

    Ozark Riverfront Campground

    Aqua central!

Van Buren, MO is in the midst of to the Ozark National Scenic Riverway. This whole area is party central for water lovers that spend their vacation time either motoring, floating or sitting along the Current River and the several natural springs that feed into it.

Big Spring State Park is nearby with plenty of camping options. The campground is still under renovation due to the 2017 flood. There is a showerhouse used by all that is a bit cryptic and bug infested. There is one flush toilet in the first campground loop, the other two loops have porta pots. Picnic table, fire ring and lantern hook on semi-private, mostly level sites. Some have more shade then others. Also a group site is available.

Skyline Drive is the scenic roadway through the Mark Twain National Forest in this area of the state. There are several areas that people camp on the Current River sand bars. If your looking to commune with nature it is possible even with the crowd, they stick mostly to the river.

Eminence, MO is the crossroads to several of the springs and Current River areas. Food , fuel and shopping.

    Definitely a destination camping area.

Alley Spring Campground — Ozark National Scenic Riverway

along the Ozark National Scenic River.

Alley Springs is one of several NPS campgrounds along the Ozark National Scenic River. The campground is located on the Jack’s Fork River, which is popular for swimming and canoeing and tubing. There are over 150 sites, and several group sites. The campground has a shower house, restrooms, RV dump station, electric and water hookups, picnic tables and fire rings. The Ozark Trail runs through the park. Roads are paved, but campground sites are gravel. There are Ranger-led campfire programs in the summer months.

    Davidsonville Historic State Park Campground

    Great Little Park

This is a very pretty little historic park with a small man-made pond. Fishing looked good and the kids loved the Pedal Boats.

There are only twenty sites, but most fit larger RVs and some even have sewer hookups.

The staff here are awesome and keep the place very clean. Besides having a nice little exhibit open to experience, they even are keeping the kayak, canoe and pedal boat rentals open (Other Arkansas Parks are keeping some bathrooms, showers, rental boats and exhibits closed because of COVID). Lake Charles SP even closed their beach?!? and they said they didn’t have enough staff sitting around doing nothing to rent kayaks.

Davidsonville is definitely a great place to visit.

    Great campsite

Have stayed here twice so far and love it. Price is cheap and they work off the trust system. They have electric and water camper hookups and tent camping. They also have a little bath house there too. Not 5 star lodging but the view over white river is breathtaking.

Very friendly and upbeat host. Loves their campground. Mostly full-timers but even though they have 18 people on the waiting list for a full time spot still they reserve several pull throughs for short term guests.  And they are expanding the park to accommodate more guests.  We were in a close to level spot with newer looking hook ups.

Alley Spring Campground — Ozark National Scenic Riverway

    Favorite place in the world!

They suffered a flood in 2017 that reeked havoc on the camp sites. They have rebuilt so much of it now and it's back to better than ever! They have group sites, family sights, electric hook ups and it's all located on the beautiful national scenic riverway!

Also the historic mill is beautiful right at the spring! My family has been camping and floating the Jack's fork river for over 35 years and it's a must visit every summer and also in the fall to see the leaves change. AND if you get lucky you might even get a glimpse at the herd of wild horses!

My go to site in summer

Hi camp several times and Robinson. During the summer. If you own a boat, Lake Norfork is the place to be. It offers a big like to boat on or fish. Or you can rent pontoons boat JetSki‘s in assessor he‘s at any one of the multiple marine is located around the lake . The campsites are maintained by the Corps of Engineers and/or updated periodically. Many sites have views of the lake to just sit and watch the activities on the like. Very relaxing. Fish from the 550 miles of shoreline or get in your boat and enjoy the wide open areas of the like. We can’t ground offers electric water but no sewer hook ups there is a dump station available. The attendance are very friendly and helpful and the cost are very minimal compared to other campgrounds. Hope to see you there.

    Hand Cove Resort RV Park

It was OK. My rating might be a little harsh.

Most of the sites here look like annual spots. That’s fine, but the couple of spots they have for weekly or overnights are not well kept. They could have at least mowed our spot before we showed up. The office closed early the day we rolled in so we basically had to deal with an unmowed and extremely unlevel spot.

The next day, I had to use 6x6 blocks of wood from the caretaker’s wood pile as a foundation to jack the front end of my class C motorhome up. The front wheels were 6 inches off the ground with the jacks fully extended and we barely made level! I was fuming. It’s unsafe and I don’t want the leveling system to get messed up.

That said, the lake here is beautiful. The dock is nice as well. If you have older kids or want to swim in the middle of nowhere, I can see this as the highlight. They have a huge section of floating dock that you can lounge/fish on. And, it’s easy to get in and out of the water. The water is deep and fairly clear here.

This place was a learning experience for us being on the road for a couple of months with two young kids. This was the first place we stayed where there wasn’t a comfort station. We quickly found the laundry won’t get your clothes dry. The deal breaker for us was the kids having nothing to do. Maybe it would be different if I weren’t working full time from the rig.

I will say, though, the campground WiFi is OK. My Verizon signal was excellent and I was able to do video calls and Remote Desktop into other computers with no issues.
