COE Lake Ouachita Little Fir Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Remoteness is the defining quality at COE Lake Ouachita Little Fir Campground, a US Army Corps of Engineers site set within forested terrain along the shores of Lake Ouachita near places to camp around Lake Ouachita. The campground sits directly on the water, and reviewers consistently note the quiet. There are no convenience stores, gas stations, or services within easy reach, so arriving with full supplies is essential.

Sites vary in shade coverage. Some sit under tree cover while others are more exposed, which matters in Arkansas summers. The campground provides full hookups, including electric, water, and sewer connections, with a dump station on site and a 40-foot RV length limit. Restrooms are available and have been noted as clean, though there are no showers. Campers with boats get considerably more out of the location, as the lake opens up access to islands and coves that aren't reachable from shore.

"Quiet and beautiful right on Lake Ouachita," writes Cheri H., and the water access is the consistent draw across reviews. Nearby, Little Fir Landing provides another access point for campers exploring the area, and Washita Primitive Camping Area offers a more rustic alternative a few miles west. Reservations are available, pets are welcome, and the campground stays open year-round. Campers who come prepared for the remoteness tend to find the lake access worth the effort.

Cute small lakeside campground

Spots have good room and most have water and electricity. Not as maintained as other campgrounds but the isolation and quiet area are nice

Gorgeous lakeside campground

Corps of engineers Park. Beautiful location and you can park your RV or pitch your tent right by the lake. Is a bit remote so I recommend that you make sure you have everything you need before you head out this way. I definitely would return if ever in this area.

Beautiful remote campground in Lake Ouachita

It’s a great place. Quiet and beautiful right on Lake Ouachita. Very remote so make sure you have everything you need before you get out there because there aren’t any stores even convenience stores or gas stations nearby. Beautiful location and even better if you have a boat then you can explore the islands.
