    Moon Lake Campground

    Beautiful Lake, Clean/Modern Campground

Moon Lake Campground is a clean and modern campground on the shores of a beautiful high mountain lake. The spots can be a little close together, but they are well developed. The bathrooms are modern for a national forest campground with running water, electricity, flushing toilets and ventilation fans. The camp host did an excellent job of daily cleaning and stocking of the campground. Just feet outside the campground is a private resort with rustic cabins and a lodge. The lodge store provides basic necessities in the event you forgot something, as well as an ice cream bar with sundaes and soda on tap. The lodge provides rentals of kayaks and small fishing boats. It even has a taco truck out front. All around, our family ranks Moon Lake near the top of our favorite camping spots.

    Lyman KOA

Great place to stop for the night

All the basics are here! Spotless bathrooms inc showers. Little but completely fenced dog area. Heated pool (in season). Wifi. Just about a mile S of I-80. Extremely nice manager. Very little shade and it's Wyoming, so "breezy"😉 $40+tax for power and water. (I'm not sure if there's an extra charge for sewer since my tiny camper isn't so equipped and my site doesn't hv it available.)

    Little Lyman Lake Campground

Great Lake Spot with Great Host

Spent 3 nights at Little Lyman Lake to get out of the Heat. This is a wonderful campground with 6 small RV campsites and 4 tent sites. Sites 2, 3, 8 and 10 are pull thru. Site 1 is a double back in and 9 is a deep back in. There’s two very clean pit toilets but no water. Doesn’t sound like they will ever get water back so bring enough with you as we could not find any even in Mountain View. The host, Matthew drives up from Meeks Cabin multiple times every day and checks to see if you need anything, he is the greatest caretaker. There is only a few negatives. There’s a lot of people who come into the site to use the bathrooms and fish without paying the day use fee. They did leave some trash in the toilets and around the lake. People also walk right through the campsite to go to the lake. Not too noisy on the weekends and plenty of available sites, we had 2 other campers on Saturday night. Sunday night and Monday we had the whole valley to ourselves. The fishing after everyone left was great, brook and speckled trout, small but fun to catch on light tackle or flies. Matthew made up for the minimal negatives. If you disperse up at Big Lyman and come down to fish, pay the day use fee, make sure you have your fishing license and take your trash out. We’ll be back for some mid week camping soon. Don’t even think you will get cell service, but isn’t that the point.

    Stateline Campground

    Decent Site

Decent site if it there are no other sites open further into Utah. Most of the sites are back to back and while there are trees around the site it feels more like a parking lot than other sites further up. There are 3 sites near the entrance that feel a little more like camping as they face the lake. Of course every site has a table and fire pit with several bathrooms around the camp.

    Washington Lake Campground

    Sooo many memories!!!

Washington lake was my childhood campground! I’ve been back many times over the years. It’s since been paved and all sorts of amenities are available. As a kid it was just a dirt campground, but has been much improved since. Picnic tables. Fire pits. Electric hookups. Etc.

The lake is fairly large, full of fish, and fun to canoe around! All around the lake are amazing dispersed camping spots, and trails connecting to other lakes.

Our YouTube channel Intro was filmed on location at Washington Lake! Enjoy

    Flaming Gorge-Manila KOA

    Immaculately maintained oasis

We stayed here one night on July 20, 2018.

This KOA was a welcome stop after the long hot time we had in the Arches area. After going over an 8500 foot pass and stopping in the close by town of Rangely, UT (visiting the town museum), we arrived.  The park was pretty full but the atmosphere was welcoming and calm. The folks who run the KOA are both friendly and attentive.  They helped spot us into our back-in trailer site and our kids visited with their dog while we got the rundown on their facilities. We visited at the height of the season and there were 20 plus kids in the play areas at all times, but the sound did not carry which was nice. The pool is expertly maintained and located right next to the laundry room (handy). The showers were excellent and again, clean and well maintained like the rest of the facilities. The small store has just about anything and everything you could need including RV/trailer repair parts.

This is the first time we stayed at a KOA but will use them again after this great experience on the road.

    Try, you will be grateful

After a disappointing attempt with another local camp in Fort Bridger, Good Sams, we were surprised by the warm telephone welcome Noreen provided. Process was seamless, and our few minute drive was easy. Once in the office, now about 6:30, Noreen was busy helping other travelers, I meandered into the well stocked store and was greeted by, Hazelys, our first time hearing the name, a delightful young woman who not only provide a pleasant welcoming, but jumped in a golf cart and directed us to our home for the night. Soon I needed remedial help with the electric box and called their number, quickly answered by Cliff who offered to come to our site, but his advice was right on and we remain happy campers. Grateful to all those we had the opportunity to connect with. Stop here on your travels, you will not be disappointed.Thank you.

Lucerne Campground - Ashley National Forest

    Large developed CG

Largest developed CG on westside of flaming gorge. Several loops for TTs/TVs and tent campers. Electric hookups sites also. Water, trash, restrooms, showers. Lots of staff maintenance activity around. Not my style of camping but families will like it and RVs that need electric will like it. $31 electric sites, $22 no electric sites. Water, trash restrooms, showers.
