    Fountain of Youth RV Park

    Hot Springs

$55 night, full hook ups: electric, water, and sewage. Pull thru sites. All sites come with picnic table and fire ring. Sites are level. Not very private. Not a lot of shady trees so camper can warm up even with AC. Dog friendly.

Lovely big hot spring pool. it has different sections with different temps. They clean the pools bi-weekly so make sure to ask when reserving if its a cleaning week because you will lose pool time.

Didnt have much luck with wifi. at&t was very week, verizon was good in the area.

State park near by with more hot spring views and bison views. We did the spirit trail just over a mile.

Beware the whole area smells like rotten eggs due to the sulfer in the springs. It can be nauseating.

    Eagle RV Park

Convenient, shady, clean bathrooms with good showers, polite, helpful staff

We usually prefer disbursed but needed power for AC with temps in the 90s.   They have nice shady spots with picnic tables and full service (water, power, sewer).  Bathrooms are clean with adequate # toilet stalls for number of people.  The RV park was full and no issues with neighbors.  Only potential downside is it's right off the highway and a bit noisy but that's Par for the course of most RV parks in towns/cities in my experience.

    Greybull KOA

    Our little oasis

We loved everything about this campground. My 4 yo son loved the pool and the playground. My 12 daughter loved the WiFi and extra clean showers and bathrooms. The laundry room was immaculate. We also got some fancy rocks for a very low price. After a long drive, this was amazing to arrive at a well organized ground, very level with picnic tables and trees and calming surroundings.

    Cody KOA

    Standard KOA

We didn't get to spend a ton of time here, just one night, but it's a pretty standard KOA. All the things you'd expect, like the activities and lodging options. We stayed in a kamping kabin and got a queen+ bunk beds version which I wasn't expecting. We had thought we had the queen-bed only. There wasn't much to be done about it as everything was booked. The bathrooms were clean and the dishwashing station was well maintained. The pool looked nice but we didn't get a chance to test it out. The tent sites along the side of the property were shaded and looked nice, but the ones in the middle were pretty basic with no trees.

    Eagle RV Park

    Reasonable for non-electric

With the only RV park in town, I was skeptical of a price gouging. $30 for non-electric/ no water. Amazing! One partially shaded site was available - the clerk let us pick. Fire ring available to have a fire. Woman’s Bathroom is clean & quaintly updated with fresh paint & cheery shower curtain. Laundry facilities & outdoor washing area (could be used for getting water). Grassy dog area complete with poop bags, shovel & rake.

    Greybull KOA

One of the best for an overnight stay

I can’t think of one negative comment, even the towns 9 o’clock curfew alarm was charming. The concrete sites are level and spacious with tables, fire pits and charcoal grills. The grounds are well cared with a small playground and dog run. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a paved walk just steps out of the campground where we took a walk and watched deer. We only stayed one night but wish that all our campgrounds could be like this one.

    Fountain of Youth RV Park

    Great spot, but not fancy

Fountain of youth RV park definitely has its charm, but also could use some amenity upgrades.

    Pros:

Huge hot spring pools open daily from 7am- 9:30 pm. Lots of space and can use floaties even kayaks on the pools. Free use of staying here. Cleaned pools one of the days we were here. Awesome to use at night under the stars.

The views from the pools are gorgeous.

Sites have enough space from one another and full hookups. The owner is really amenable and lets you choose your site.. this is great if you’re looking for more shade or space from neighbors.

There is laundry, showers, and toilets available for use.

Location is awesome—right near the state park, close to the dinosaur center, grocery store is less than a 10 min drive, lots of water activities close by (we went kayaking)

WiFi worked very well the entire time!

    Cons:

The owner is definitely nice but runs the establishment by himself and therefore is hard to get a hold of initially and is very busy.

The showers are coin operated. So you have to pay one quarter for 2 1/2 minutes of showering. You can also hop over to the hot springs state park for a free soak in the bathhouse and free shower afterward!

The amenities themselves aren’t anything to write home about—laundry is fine, toilets are not amazing, nor are the showers—but everything works and there’s hot water!

Close to the road and a railroad so you can hear sounds of traffic, but it’s not crazy disruptive. Nothing earplugs can’t solve.

No Verizon or ATT service at the site.

Ultimately, I think the hot spring pools and location are well worth the $$ and loved my stay.

Guide to Meeteetse

Cabin accommodations near Meeteetse, Wyoming range from rustic to modern options set across the Bighorn Basin at elevations around 5,700 feet. Located between the Absaroka Range and the Owl Creek Mountains, this area experiences warm summers and cold winters with most cabin rentals operating seasonally from May through October. Weather can change rapidly in this high-desert environment with temperature swings of 40°F possible within a single day.

What to do

Hot springs soaking: 35-minute drive from Meeteetse to Thermopolis, where Fountain of Youth RV Park offers access to mineral hot springs. "This great little RV park is outside of Thermopolis by a couple of miles, but it is worth the extra drive. The highlight are the mineral hot spring swimming pools (included)," notes camper Brent J.

Ghost towns and treasure hunting: Stay at The Crippled Spider Campground and explore historic sites in the region. "The property is also a great base for rock hounding and exploring Wyoming's natural beauty. You can even hunt (seasonal) or target shoot, making it perfect for outdoor enthusiasts," reports Amy A.

Wildlife viewing: Many cabins offer views of native wildlife. "We had a spot on the outer circle and the lots were huge and they backed up to a field or the river which was a great view," explains Jonathan D. about his stay at Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV.

What campers like

Clean bathroom facilities: Cabin campers consistently mention the importance of clean restrooms. "The bathrooms were very clean. Reasonably priced," reports Matt S. about his stay at Eagle RV Park.

Helpful staff knowledge: Local expertise enhances cabin stays. "Extremely accommodating campground. The owners were very knowledgable about attractions nearby. The petroglyphs were some of the best I have seen," shares Gary P. about his Eagle RV Park experience.

Private cabin spaces: Many campers appreciate the privacy options. "This is a 2 bedroom cabin with a small bathroom," notes Ashley F. about The Cabin near Meeteetse, providing a true home-like experience compared to more basic accommodations.

What you should know

Seasonal operations: Most cabin rentals near Meeteetse operate from May through October, with limited options during winter months. At Greybull KOA, "It's what you expect from KOA, clean level sites. Restrooms and showers were clean and except for some train noises, very quiet. A nice walking path along the Big Horn River," reports Charles A.

Varying amenities: Kitchen facilities differ significantly between properties. Basic cabins typically provide just beds and electricity, while deluxe options include kitchenettes and private bathrooms. "The sites are well-maintained, and the full hookups provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. For those looking for an extended stay, they even offer 15% off for bookings over 7 days!" notes Amy A. about Crippled Spider Campground.

Reservation requirements: Cabins fill quickly during peak summer season. "They did save me when I needed a spot last minute," mentions Dene H. about Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV, though this is uncommon during July and August.

Tips for camping with families

Pool access for children: Several locations offer swimming options for families. "My 4 yo son loved the pool and the playground. My 12 daughter loved the WiFi and extra clean showers and bathrooms," shares Vena B. about her stay at Greybull KOA.

Farm experiences: Some properties offer unique agricultural experiences. At Big Quiet Farm Stay & Campground, visitors enjoy farm-fresh breakfast. "We've heard the breakfast Rod & Mickey offer is one of the best (sausage from the farm, need we say more?!)," notes Ashley F.

Cabin spacing considerations: Family groups should check cabin proximity. "It was a well kept resort, but it was high priced. They did save me when I needed a spot last minute," notes Dene H. about Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV, which offers more spacious cabin options than some competitors.

Tips from RVers

Cost variations: Cabin rental prices fluctuate seasonally. "Full service campground, clean and all amenities are well kept. Lower rating due to the price, we visited in July and paid with Good Sam discount $95/night!" reports Olaf I. about Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV.

Bathroom accessibility: Not all cabin accommodations include private bathrooms. "Showers and bathrooms were very clean. Reasonably priced," notes Matt S. about Eagle RV Park facilities that supplement basic cabin rentals.

Distance to attractions: Consider driving times when selecting accommodations. "The only drawback to this RV park how far from Yellowstone it is. It's 35+ minutes from the East entrance which is already an hour away from most of Yellowstone's major places to visit," explains Jonathan D. about Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV.
