Description
Frenchman Coulee carves through the Columbia Basin basalt just off I-90 in eastern Washington, and this dispersed area sits tucked into a half-basin at the base of the columnar cliffs known as The Feathers — a landmark destination for rock climbers and a natural windbreak that frames wide views down the coulee. Several open spots with fire rings are scattered across rocky, uneven ground; some require high clearance to reach. A WA Discover Pass is required to park and camp, and a purchase kiosk is at the entrance.
