Free. Which is great. Only available for camping Friday-Saturday-Sunday nights. They allow tents anywhere on the grass lawn, so no reservations and no structure whatsoever. Picnic tables are first come-first served. THERE IS NO POTABLE WATER. Signs indicate that EColi has been found in the water, so either boil it or bring your own. (We arrived by bicycles from Walla Walla and were supremely disappointed to find we’d have to filter the water to drink it.)

It’s a total free for all out here, but it’s a nice setting. Flush toilets exist but everything else (sinks and showers) is turned off due to the EColi presence. There is a separate portable handwashing station present.

The train tracks go right next to the campsite but no trains blow their horns, so it’s only track noise.

Like so many Corps of Engineers spots: the grass is ridiculously green and well-watered. We’re in a gd desert but these engineers have to show off how much access they have to water. Makes for a very plush and even luxurious camping experience. Fingers crossed the automatic sprinklers don’t come on in the middle of the night.
