Campground that is family owned and run situated on 73 wooded acres on the backside of Ticklenaked Pond where Loones and other wildlife can be seen. Campers can Fish, swim, boat or just relax on our private beach. Our sites are large with the exception of the water front sites , campers are closer together on the water front . We also offer several fields for groups that like to camp together . We have a camp store with snacks and essentials and also sell fishing and hunting licenses! We offer planned activities and events throughout the summer. Cabin rental on the water is available and camper rental on camp site is available.



Pleasant Valley Campground

Rustic camping in the NH north country. We are right in the middle of the White Mountains, in Whitefield NH surrounded by endless rivers, lakes, hiking trails, dining, breweries and attractions. The Heritage trail is accessible nearby. Whitefield is the approximate halfway point for the Cross NH Adventure Trail.

On clear nights, the view of the stars and the milky way here is magnificent. We intentionally leave the majority of the field unmowed which attracts monarch butterflies and other wildlife. The campsite is private, yet close to the conveniences of downtown Whitefield and nearby Littleton, Bethlehem and Lancaster.

IMPORTANT HOUSEKEEPING ITEMS. PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING:

THIS IS A RUSTIC CAMPSITE with no amenities. If you are expecting the KOA, please do not book this site. The campsite is located in rural northern New Hampshire, in a field next to the forest where many animals live such as bears, moose, deer, raccoons, fox, skunks, porcupines, coyotes, etc. Mosquitoes and other bugs are present in the summer. Please be mindful of the surrounding wildlife. Please come PREPARED for rustic backwoods camping and observe bear safety at all times (SEE BEAR SAFETY INFO BELOW)

RV INFO: We do not have hookups of any kind (NO electricity, NO water or sewer). We are currently only set up for self-contained units (dry-camping or boondocking as some call it). We can accommodate small travel trailers <20ft, campervans, truck campers, small camper busses. NO 5th Wheels or RV's >20ft please. 4-wheel drive is recommended, but not required.

FIRE: A small campfire pit is available (dependent on local fire danger warnings of course). Please observe local fire danger warnings. Bring your own firewood and please do not light the large bonfire in the middle of the field. Please do not cut down trees or branches.

NO PETS: Because we are a working farm with chickens, farm dogs and surrounding wildlife guests are not permitted to bring dogs or pets of any kind. If you love animals and enjoy a little "dog/chicken therapy" this is the place for you. Please do not book this site if you don't like animals.

TRASH: A small trashcan and recycle bin for empty cans and bottles are located next to the outhouse. Please PACK OUT excessive amounts of trash.

We have NO BATHROOM, kitchen or shower facilities and there is no potable water on site. An OUTHOUSE composting toilet is available.

NO DUMPING of grey or black water anywhere on the property.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY: Our folk victorian farmhouse has been owned by the same family for seven generations since it was built in the 1850s. Once a 20-acre working dairy farm, much of the land was subdivided throughout the years, leaving five acres with the original barn, farmhouse, large field, and wooded area. We are a small family farm offering farm-fresh eggs and seasonal vegetables. We are honored to be stewards of this property and want to share it with others.

<strong>Bear Food Storage Requirements</strong>

Following safe food storage practices protects both you and the bears:

<li>Never leave food or coolers unattended. All food, food particles, trash, and coolers need to be secured in a vehicle or trailer.</li>

<li>Always keep a clean picnic area, campsite, or other area where you may be spending time.</li>

<li>Don’t leave any food (including condiments), food particles, trash, and coolers out when not in use.</li>

<li>Store food in bear-resistant units, hard-shelled vehicles or car trunks.</li>

<li>Never store food in your tent. </li>

<li>Keep sleeping areas, tents, and sleeping bags free of food and odor (like toothpaste or deodorant).</li>

<li>Don’t sleep in clothes you cooked or handled fish or game in.</li>

<li>Never bury or burn food waste.</li>

<li>Place sleeping tents at least 100 yards away from food storage and cooking areas.</li>

<li>Never leave your backpack unattended.</li>

Private Field and Woods Camping 

Baker Rocks is a boutique nature experience nestled between New Hampshire's Lakes and White Mountains Region. Located along 3,000 feet of the Baker River and across from well-known Rumney Rocks climbing area, we offer unique accommodations, event spaces, store, and farm stand. In addition we provide such amenities as a nature-based playground, CrossFit and yoga space, private trails, and river/beach access.

Baker Rocks

Surrounded on three sides by two brooks and the Dog River, our property covers a bit more than one acre in size. It is situated on a residential road in Riverton (or West Berlin), VT, near route 12, just six miles south of Montpelier, and four miles north of Northfield. So it's rural, but still very close to grocery shopping and laundromat. We have electrical hook-up available. From mid-July through late October, there is WIFI available although the signal is not strong up by the electrical hook-up. It's strongest towards the river.

Mountain bike trails are close by. Boyer State Forest is two miles away (for hiking and biking). Norwich University, five miles away in Northfield, has hiking and biking trails. Ellie's Farm Market (walking distance) has local organic produce in season as well as local cheese and maple products.

Park your RV, and you will have river access, as well as access to the two small brooks on the property. Feel free to pitch a tent as well, but note that we do not have a restroom for guests or a water hookup.

Boyer State Forest, two miles away, provides a variety of recreational opportunities including hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hunting and wildlife viewing. It's a rural area, and we are flanked by neighbors with animals, so you may hear chickens, goats, and dogs. There are many lovely trees on the property, offering fall color as well as shade.



Brookside RV Camping (Electric hookup only)

Enjoy our private secluded tent sites nestled into the landscape in the shadow of Mount Cardigan. Within a five-mile radius, many quiet ponds offer paddling, fishing, and swimming including Grafton Pond with over 15 small islands to explore. For hikers, Mount Cardigan is just 8 miles away. There is easy access to the Northern Rail Trail which runs from Lebanon to Concord. Other attractions include the Enfield Shaker Village, on Mascoma Lake, and Dartmouth College, in Hanover, just 30 minutes away.



Cardigan Skyline Camps

Winter has arrived and the snow beacons. The cozy cabin will delight the rustic fan. A queen bed awaits. Spend the day cross country skiing right out the door or only minutes away the Vt Rail Trail awaits. Ice fishing on Joe's Pond. Or skiing at one of 5 resorts within an hour drive in any direction.

There is a large fire pit as well as a cozy wood stove.

The sauna is an extra charge but oh so worth it.

Snowshoeing around the meditation gardens in the snow is next level beauty.

Pottery classes yoga space and fresh winter greens from the greenhouse await. To to off the weekend enjoy a hot stones massage!

(Urban Farm Road) Urban Rd, is named after the original owner of this land and surrounding land.

The original barn burned, although they saved the milk house where my art gallery currently is now. The barn has been rebuilt, as well as a 100 ft hoop house.

After a long day of canoeing Joe's Pond, hiking to the top of Mt Mansfield, or riding the ridges around Cabot you will be glad to arrive and relax. You will find peaceful, private camp sites each with a fire pit, flat ground for your tent or trees to hang your hammock .

You may choose a cabin in the woods or a tiny vintage camper for 2.

There are also sites for a RV or "glamping."

A few sites are large enough to accommodate 3 tents for a group gathering. Vermont only allows 3 reservations per night so you can choose when you get here.

Unique offerings include a health component from meditation classes to sauna and massage. The pottery studio is available for classes or private lessons including Raku firings. Yoga and movement classes are also available in the barn, in the fields or in the Flower of Life meditation garden and labyrinth.

The outside garden and 100 ft hoop house is filled with organic vegetables and edible flowers for your enjoyment. The Herb Barn is for drying flowers and creating tinctures and ointments. The Art Gallery in the old milk house is filled with pottery and art work.

Bring your easel and paint brushes, learn a new craft, or relax in the sauna. Bike trails are being established throughout Cabot, right out the front door. There are ponds for swimming within a few miles., There are many options for water sports minutes away at Joe's Pond, and many others. The rail trails are less than 10 minutes. Organic beef, raw milk and fresh eggs are around the corner at Molly Brook Farm. Maple Sugar at Goodrich's and fresh blueberries and veggies at Blossoms and Berries, as well as Burtt's Apples and of course Cabot cheese

The land is diverse with large open meadows to fields to quiet pine forest.

As you walk the tree line you will find old farm implements, old bottles and even an old Ford coop. I would love to restore and use them on the farm.

The land is on the crest of the ridge looking East to Danville and the White Mts, and a few feet to the West the entire Green Mts splay before you. The water tastes wonderful, and bubbles up here and there on the property.

Our neighbors who also offer camping have sheep, to berries... I offer the healing arts, massage, scar release, the sauna, and other art learning experiences. I hope to offer a week long canoe building class summer 2020.

The Hummingbird Center is an educational homestead and organic permaculture farm nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We offer a variety of lodging options including field & platform tent camping, vehicle spots, treehouses, schoolbuses, tiny house, red house and yoga room.

During your stay, we encourage you to explore the property. There are miles of machine built mountain biking and cross country skiing trails on the property. Our property abuts the vast GreenWoodlands Trail network. Visitors have access to farm store, kitchen, ponds, streams, showers, communal firepit & outdoor cooking areas. Farm animals, orchards and gardens create a unique experience.

We prefer that 1st time visitors arrive before 9pm.

No sewer hookups. Secluded spots for vehicles require high clearance and dry conditions.
