The campground is set among a forest of shady pine, aspen, oak and maple trees. Vivid summer wildflowers are abundant, and autumn leaves put on quite a show. Little Cottonwood Creek runs along the edge of the campground.

Little Cottonwood Canyon is a beautiful area known for its soaring peaks, unique geology, pristine hidden lakes and cascading streams. Numerous hiking and mountain biking trails are in the area. Rock climbing is a popular activity as well. Snowbird Resort is a few miles up-canyon, offering scenic tram rides, hiking, mountain biking, restaurants, groceries, an Alpine Slide, zip line rides, concerts and various festivals. Albion Basin, part of Alta Ski Resort just a few miles further up-canyon, hosts the Wasatch Wildflower Festival annually in late July/early August, complete with guided nature walks. Numerous hiking trails can be found in Albion Basin, including the 1.5-mile round-trip hike to Cecret Lake.

The Mammoth Guard station is located at 8,600 feet in elevation. There are two cabins on the grounds. The Mammoth Cabin was built on site while the Lake Cabin was moved to the site from its original location in the 1980s. Both cabins were constructed in the 1930s serving as forest ranger and fire crew dwellings for many years. The cabins overlook a wide expanse of sagebrush valleys with timbered slopes and ridgelines. The grounds that cabins are located is also an active administrative site. Visitors can expect to see Forest Service personnel using the grounds adjacent to the cabins. Travel Trailers and RVs are not permitted at this facility. If others are seeking to be close to your group during your reservation they should look at the nearby campgrounds at Gooseberry Group Campground and Gooseberry Reservoir.__

The cabins are situated in a spruce, fir and aspen forest setting with many mature trees on the facility grounds. The Mammoth Cabin receives the most shaded sunlight, while the Lake Cabin receives more direct sunlight.

Located in the Fairview City Museum there is a life size replica of a Columbian Mammoth that was found approximately 10 miles southeast of the cabins. The museum also offers exhibits with artifacts and history from the native people of the area as well as a history of the later settlers. There is access to the 350+ mile Arapeen trail system to the south as well as the Forest roads to the north.

Site 56 was fairly level and had decent shade and access to the showers/bathrooms with still good privacy in the trees. Bathrooms very clean. Road cyclists: excellent access to Empire Pass. Couple of good trails to walk around. Oak Hollow (tent loop) seems bit more spaced out in sites but only has water and 20A and most sites are slanted or have no shade from the late afternoon sun.
For $5 more, the Cottonwood and Mahogany loops have full or partial hookups. Also good are sites 19, 22, 24, 25, and 79.
Many sites have issues with level and/or lack of any privacy or shade.
Food aside: Freeze-dried sweet pork for dinner. Had Sprouts Hatch mac and cheese from box with jerky from hatch, Mexican cheese shreds and garlic powder. Yum. Breakfast was oatmeal with chopped nuts and some strawberries and broken-up brownie Clif bar. Was a bit bland, could have used maple syrup. Other breakfast was frozen pancake bites with maple syrup and butter, fried in pan from frozen, 30 sec per side flipped 4 times.

Not really pretty and expensive
The camp ground itself is not bad. You have all the amenities that you could wish for when you are on the road. Including sites with full hook up and showers plus toilets that are in good condition. The camp store has food and drinks available. Very positive were the ladies at the reception. Very helpful and very sweet.
But the location is rather disappointing. Its located at the end of an old street and right in front of a dam, enclosed by some hills. You can hear the nearby highway. Not very pretty.
It feels a little cramped, the individual spots are very close to each other, so there is not much privacy. Plus, it is very expensive. I paid 78$ for a full hook up spot.
Probably better to check out the camp site Hailstone Camp Ground right up the hill, in the Jordanelle state park. It looked so much more beautiful when I passed by there the next morning.

Great Central Spot to explore area
Found this spot last minute. It's fancy. Way fancier than we usually pick, but the price was right. It was full when we arrived on a Saturday. But thinned out later in the week I really enjoyed the split between the folks with kids and those without. 3 pools and hot tubs...2 for the 21+ only crowd. There are tons of clean bathrooms woth showers and 3 clubhouses. 2 dog parks...one was HUGE!! Dogs loved it. Views are amazing. It was honestly kind if refreshing to stay in a resort.

RV Park off the beaten path
The road to get here can be interesting if you’ve never been. I wasn’t expecting a dirt road right next to the river. You don’t need any special vehicle though and as soon as you get to the resort, it is GORGEOUS. They have a couple playgrounds (one is better than the other) and lots of open grass area. The swimming pond was a great place for my kids to play. I randomly tried this resort and it will definitely be one I go to again.

We stayed in HS site 100. Absolutely beautiful view and great access to park city. Showers were clean. Only downside was the dump station near us was pretty awful smells and the site was very unlevel.

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
My family and I love camping and have been building our camping arsenal and experience. This campsite gave us a good time and also helped us realized what we needed to add to our “Need to Buy List: Camping Edition.”
First, the Pros of the visit.
- Designated campsite with deck, fireplace and table! Deck was well built, practically brand new and the same with the fire pit. The fire pit is a smokeless one so the smoke would travel through a ventilation built into it.
- Has service! We had full bars throughout the campsite. We were even able to watch the Rookie in our tent before bed!
- Gas station is just 5 min down the road! Nice little gas station that’s prepared to help you with almost all your needs, including flushable toilets!
- Strawberry reservoir is about 15 min from the campsite and there’s plenty to do there! I won’t go in to detail but we spent majority of our day there.
Now the Cons.
- The campsite is in the middle of a sketchy RV graveyard! Abandoned buildings and RVs were scattered all over the vista. It was sorta creepy but if you like that kind of thing, go for it!
- No shade in sight! No trees or anything to provide shade from 7:30-6ish (the sun goes behind the tent around 6). So bring a canopy or two because we forgot to bring one and were scorched! Also the tent heats up like a sauna with the sun beating on it, even with all the windows down and doors open. So if you’re planning on coming back for a relaxing afternoon nap, good luck with that!
- The wind will take your tent if you’re not careful! The wind gusts would be so powerful at times it would almost carry out tent away from us. We had ours on the deck and it was an ample target for the biggest tent-napper out there: the wind. Without a way to put stakes because you’re on the deck, we were exposed. Thankfully they had cinder blocks under the deck we could use but man it was surely a pain in the butt! So come prepared!
- Bring bug spray and sun screen! We got burnt so badly and there were ants and ant hills everywhere! I counted at least 5 different ant species crawling around the camp table.
- Private property signs everywhere. We wanted to explore around our campsite but due to so many private property and no trespassing signs, we never got to explore around us because we thought we would get shot.
Overall, it was not a bad campsite! I think our experience wasn’t the best but that’s mainly due our unpreparedness and lack of experience. There’s many things to do in Fruitland area and also places where you can enjoy the peace and quiet! I hope our learning experience can benefit anyone interested in go to this campsite! Happy camping!

Cleanest campground
Mountain valley is very conveniently located in a Heber which is great for visiting Park City, Midway and Soldier Hollow. All the amenities included showers, cable, wifi, pickleball, pool and hot tubs. The park is nice and flat that kids are riding scooters and rollerblading throughout. Nice adult section. Also they show outdoor movies on the weekend and usually have a food truck.

KOA Provo/Springfield: A Decent Option for an Overnight Stay, But Not Without Its Drawbacks
I recently stayed at KOA Provo/Springfield and while it had some positive aspects, overall, I give it a 3 out of 5 stars. The campground is conveniently located near the I-15 and a gas station, which was convenient. However, I did find the price to be a bit high for what they had to offer.
One of the main issues I had with the campground was the tightness of the sites. They were very close together, which didn't allow for much privacy or space to relax. The bathrooms were also a disappointment. They were not well-maintained and some were out of order. Additionally, I never saw any staff during my stay, which made me feel a bit uneasy.
Despite these drawbacks, I will say that the campground is still a good option for a quick overnight stay. However, I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay. If you're just passing through and need a place to rest, it could be a decent option.
Overall, while KOA Provo/Springfield has some good qualities, it also has some drawbacks. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option and don't mind sacrificing a bit of comfort, it could work for you. But if you're looking for a more relaxing, well-maintained campground, you may want to consider other options.

Nicely run, just too cramped
This KOA is very nicely run. It's clean and we'll kept. The backdrop of mountains and colors are gorgeous. It's just very cramped. Your door opens right to the neighbors hookups. There are strips of grass between but they hold half of a picnic table.
This is a good spot to hook up and top off for a night or two, or if you're planning on staying inside, or if you're going to head up into the mountains for hiking and leave the rig behind.
Can't comment on the cabins but they seem nice and the amenities areas are very nice as well. I just prefer a little space when I'm camping.

Great option for visiting SLC and Park City
We choose Jordanelle as a location to stay while visiting our daughter who lives in SLC. Not a mistake. Jordanelle is a very well-kept campground offering water and electricity. We stayed in HS62 (rig length is 50ft) and strongly recommend HS60. HS62 is solid but exposed to direct sun, great for our solar. HS60 offers excellent views and a good canopy. The downside and the four-star rating is because of the entrance staff. At best, they are barely competent at their jobs and have zero offerings when it comes to exploring opportunities offered by the park. Do your research and be prepared, and Jordanelle will offer up a wonderful experience. If you are a cyclist, opportunities abound!

This campground is convenient to the things that we wanted.
We have a daughter that lives in Spanish Fork and this is very convenient for her to come see us and bring her children to play in the pool and the recreation hall. Everything is clean and complete. Even the kitchen is clean and large in the hall

Pleasant Creek RV Resort
Clean and Well Kept Private Campground
Pleasant Creek Campground is a nice campground with clean facilities. This is a privately owned campground and each site is well manicured.
The sites are close together so you don't get a whole lot of privacy. The staff were steady busy leveling off the gravel in each site and mowing the lawns. This place is great for a stop over....not my style of camping, but nonetheless it's a pretty campground.

This was a great place to stay! Had 3 different pools/hot tubs and the pools are heated so they arent freezing. Nice laundry and bathrooms as well. We had a back in site at the end of the row and there was a large grass area and fire pit that was great! Had a large dog park and pickle ball courts too!

Best RV resort we've stayed in
If I could give it more stars I would, 5+++++. We have stayed at many campgrounds around the country and this is by far the best! Amazing staff, beautiful meticulous clean grounds and facilities, which are plentiful as well. Huge level concrete sites, with privacy bushes between, awesome hook ups, WiFi and cable. Trash pick up, huge dog parks, which are best we've seen. We have paid twice as much for far less. The scenery from the campground is breathtaking. I am writing this sitting at the heated pool looking at snow covered mountains. The town of Heber is so quaint and nice. 20 min to Provo and BYU, 25 min to Park City, and 50 min to Salt Lake City. We will definitely have to make this place a stop on our next westward trip. LOVE IT HERE.

Had a great time playing a shrunken bowling game in the game room which also had pool tables and other cool games.

We stayed there summer of 2021 under the old owner. We have just made reservations to stay there again in May 2022. It was a great stay. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because some of the sites aren't level and are pretty close to each other. I had to use 3 yellow square leveling blocks on the left side. Hopefully they fixed this under the new ownership. Swimming pool was great. Did not use the showers or bathrooms so no comment on them. Staff was (and is now--I just made reservations for May 2022) very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a place in the Ephraim- Mt Pleasant- Fairview area with full hook-ups...........THIS IS IT! Highly recommended. We love exploring the area and Skyline Drive. Beautiful country. Just 8 miles from the amazing little Fairview museum where we learned about the Mormon pioneers who settled here. No little black flies when we were there but during some weeks can be an annoying problem. We are excited to stay there again.

Rack 'em and stack 'em
One of the less desirable KOAs that I've been to. WIFI didn't have a chance of working. Dog poop on the grass. They pack you in here maximizing the number of spaces. Its like a parking lot. The grass strip between each space is about 4 feet wide, so you and your neighbor are on top of each other. Cars were parking half off the narrow aisles and therefore tearing up the grass into mud holes. There were a good number of full timers on site with a lot of unsightly personal belongings all over the place. Close to the freeway. Traffic and train noise is moderate.

Quick Getaway
Close the to the valley for a quick little getaway! Campgrounds are pretty close to one another but somewhat secluded depending on the spot you get. Parking next to your campground is a plus for me! They have restrooms which is nice! Decent place for a quick trip!
