Top 10+ Cabin Camping near Salem, UT

Found this spot last minute. It's fancy. Way fancier than we usually pick, but the price was right. It was full when we arrived on a Saturday. But thinned out later in the week I really enjoyed the split between the folks with kids and those without. 3 pools and hot tubs...2 for the 21+ only crowd. There are tons of clean bathrooms woth showers and 3 clubhouses. 2 dog parks...one was HUGE!! Dogs loved it. Views are amazing. It was honestly kind if refreshing to stay in a resort.

One of our all time favorite RV parks. Located in beautiful Heber City, Utah. We felt at home as soon as we arrived and were greeted by a nice man on a golf cart who lead us to where we’d be staying. There is an adult only section if you’re looking for peace and quiet away from kids. The concrete was level and spacious, each with its own picnic table.

They have two dog parks, one of which is the nicest and largest one we’ve seen thus far. The laundry room was sparkling clean and located adjacent to the pickle ball courts and outdoor fire pits. They have an on-site RV wash available and allowed us to borrow an adaptor from them at no charge. We enjoyed an evening in their hot tub/spa. They also have a large pool area near the bathrooms that were the most well maintained bathrooms we’ve ever used on the road. To top it all off, they have a gorgeous fitness center with weights, a treadmill and elliptical available to all guests.

Overall we were extremely impressed with all amenities and the customer service provided at Mountain Valley RV Resort and would recommend it highly to anyone visiting the area.

The cabins were really nice, not too expensive, the staff was super nice, but the bathrooms were farther away than I would have liked and no way to drive to them.

Jordanelle has quickly become an annual tradition with the family.  All siblings, nieces, and nephews, grandparents come for a couple of days and we have a great time.  We use tents and RV's, but there are also cabins to rent as well!  Depending on what spot you get, there may or may not be a lot of shade.  Come prepared with coverings and it is great.  The water is wonderful, and all of the kids and dogs love it as well!  I recommend!

This KOA is very nicely run. It's clean and we'll kept. The backdrop of mountains and colors are gorgeous. It's just very cramped. Your door opens right to the neighbors hookups. There are strips of grass between but they hold half of a picnic table.

This is a good spot to hook up and top off for a night or two, or if you're planning on staying inside, or if you're going to head up into the mountains for hiking and leave the rig behind.

Can't comment on the cabins but they seem nice and the amenities areas are very nice as well. I just prefer a little space when I'm camping.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway and loved it. Great place close to SLC and park city and for the most part it was surprisingly quiet,tho that could be a fluke as it got busier during the day. Feel like we just lucked out Especially in renting water toys as sounds like they are usually booked out if not reserved well in advance. Nice campsites that appear to stay well maintained.

This isn't the prettiest lake. It is nice and big, but since it is one of the closest to Utah Valley and Salt Lake Valley, it gets a lot of traffic. Boat ramps during the summer are always very crowded. Beaches and campgrounds are decent, but the lake isn't that enjoyable. We just went boating here in September. The water was very cold! I recommend a wetsuit if you have one!

Utah state recreation area, OHV recreation area along with beach side camping. Year round access. Campground is RV only (I think) beach tent camping along the whole lake, vault toilets around the lake, Occasionally there are trees but mostly not, can get dusty if people are driving thier off road toys. Only 1 vehicle per reservation extra car can be paid for. Nice beautiful, relaxing.

We stayed at the Springville/ Provo Utah KOA in September 2021. This is a full service KOA with nice FHU 50 amp pull-thru sites which were long, wide and level. This KOA is one of the nicer KOA’s that we have stayed at. It is very well managed with a professional, friendly staff. It does have a pool, children’s play area and group area with two bbqs. It has lots of grassy area to walk your pups and we met many friendly fellow travelers here. I highly recommend this park. RV Park and campground with playground, small pool, gift shop, laundry room,  showers, restrooms, some fire pits, some picnic tables, animals allowed. Camp roads are gravel, lots are small for tents. Each lot is about the size of a single car garage. We could put up two 4 man tents on each  lot. Close to town, but the location of the camp is behind the Temple Hill so you are secluded from the road. Friendly staff. Tightly packed, you can hear a crying baby throught the entire campground.

The facilities are average, with separate rooms for showers and toilets. However, there are many long-term residents with not enough space for regular camping. Some of these long term residents have multiple cars and end up blocking you in. We really just wanted a good spot to fill up on water and possibly stay for a night or two. Later we found out across the road is a Denny’s/Flying J/Truck stop where we could fill up with water.

Pros: Washer and dryers, small pool, close to Provo Cons: Road noise, train noise, small spaces, long term neighbors.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Gobble creek is our favorite

The setup is generally the same at a lot of KOA. This well kept KOA has lots of amenities, but sites have zero privacy. Parking spots are paved. It does appear to have a few long term tenants.

Traveling thru to California. Easy on/off from I-15. Clean spots and level pads. Registration was very easy. Came in at dark and left at dark. Not sure of the other amenities.
