Carter Military Trail Yurt

Fishing enthusiasts will find Carter Military Trail Yurt positioned within Ashley National Forest, offering a unique overnight option at $50 per night through the US Forest Service reservation system. The yurt sits in mixed forested and open terrain near a lake, though campers should prepare for rough access conditions that make RV camping impossible.

Pet owners can bring their dogs to this drive-in site, which provides a different camping experience from traditional tent or RV spots. For those seeking nearby alternatives, Red Springs sits 2.9 miles east with different amenities and access conditions.
