State Park

Savage Gulf offers over 70 backcountry campsites across the park. A Permit must be obtained through the park for all backcountry hiking. Coordinates listed on The Dyrt are reflective of park entrance and not the trailhead.

Dinky Line Campground offers four backcountry campsites with a max occupancy of six per campsite.

Entering from Savage Gulf East parking lot; campground is 3.5 miles via the Savage Day Loop and North Plateau trails or 5.8 miles via the Savage Day Loop, North Rim, and Mountain Oak trails. There is a seasonal stream nearby. Water may not be available during dry conditions.
