the spring feels like a secret garden

we found this place because we wanted something remote, but accessible for my SIL’s travel trailer. This place was wonderful. There are only 3 campsites, which are all next to a gorgeous creek made of runoff from the spring. There is also a cabin, and an old barn the kids loved playing in. It’s creepy, in the best kind of way. The spring itself is past a gate. The path is gorgeous; the kids called it the magic place.

Frequently Asked Questions

What amenities are available at Imnaha Campground?

Imnaha Campground offers basic amenities in a remote setting. The campground features just three campsites situated alongside a beautiful creek formed by spring runoff. Visitors will find a cabin and an old barn that's popular with children for exploration and play. The natural creek provides a serene backdrop and water access. While facilities are limited due to the remote nature of this campground, the pristine natural setting compensates for the lack of modern conveniences. The site is accessible for travel trailers, making it suitable for those wanting a remote experience without completely roughing it.

How do I make reservations for Imnaha Campground?

Imnaha Campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservation system in place. With only three campsites available, arriving early is recommended, especially during peak camping seasons. For the most current information about availability and any potential changes to the reservation policy, contact the managing agency directly. The limited number of sites means this campground can fill quickly, particularly on weekends and holidays.

What is the best time of year to visit Imnaha Campground?

Summer is the optimal time to visit Imnaha Campground, with July offering excellent conditions as demonstrated by the creek's pristine state from spring runoff. The campground's remote location makes it most accessible and enjoyable during the warmer months when road conditions are favorable and outdoor activities are most comfortable. Early fall may also provide pleasant camping conditions with fewer visitors. Always check for seasonal closures or access limitations before planning your trip, as this remote area may have limited accessibility during winter and early spring due to weather conditions.
