Great place and great people
The grounds are well kept and everything is super clean. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. This group likes to have fun and they seem to love their jobs. There are a couple of ponds for catch and release fishing, and a river for fishing to keep watch you catch. The sites are easy to get…
Well maintained, sites are level and spacious, cabins are very nice, lots of activities for families.
Convenient campground located next to the ferry to get to Ocracoke. Great place for a quick stop before you head over to the island. The science are pretty tight. Amenities are slim. There are no signs for the office or to get in the campground. We took a horseback ride and had a great time. Horses…

If your looking for things to do, this isn't your place. If your looking for peace and quiet, somewhere to relax this is definitely a great place. There is 1 restaurant near the campground amd that is it. Theres a gas station a mile away that sells some grocery items. This place isnt for 16 &…

Nice little campground with trees and bushes between each site that make it feel private. Just electric sites, no water or septic. Away from the highway so no traffic noise. The beach is closed due to hurricane damage but the campground was still a nice stay.
Park is very secluded from the area. As soon as you pull in the driveway it kinda looks scary but after you pass all the trees you get this very big open land that is well maintained. They kid park area is really just one swing set. They have a dock and a covered patio area for fires(facing the…
Big lake that runs to the ocean, great size pool, amazing beach ice cream, campground activites such as a live band, DJ, and movie night!
I went here in the summer of 2020, so unfortunately the lake was closed. However, the showers were well kept. I saw the episode of These Woods Are Haunted after the trip so I wasn't on the lookout for anything spooky, although the little town nearby did give off semi spooky vibes, but nothing…
Lots are a little tight but the location to the beach makes it worth it. Not every site has a picnic table and fire pit so you have to find those for your site before they are taken. I really enjoyed seeing the horses.
One of my favorites campsites! I have stayed twice, once in peak season, and once in off season. Hidden gem on the journey into the outer banks. Beautiful views, beach access, horses, ferry to Ocracoke, restaurant/bar, and VERY reasonably priced.

This place was quite on the off season. Nice showers and bathrooms.
New Bern is a really wonderful little town on the coast of NC and this KOA is close to all the action. I really enjoyed our stay and the local town. We stayed in a camping cabin that overlooked the little pond area. The bathrooms were nice and clean and cabins were nicely appointed.
This was our third year staying at this campground which is about three hours from our home. The access to the Outer Banks was awesome as always. This time we kayaked on the nearby scuppernong River. The swampy trip did not disappoint with wildlife or fishing. The swimming area is still closed on…

We camped in the State campground at Pettigrew State Park. It is a small campground with just a few camp sites. We usually overnight there on the way to the NPS campgrounds on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, though it is nice enough to justify a stay if you find yourself in the area. We visited…
