Nice little camping community in the Poconos

We had a great time despite cold wet weather. Our site was probably one of the worst in the place but we were able to scope out others that we would prefer for our next visit. We didn’t have a view of the lake, instead we were in someone’s back yard lol. It wasn’t a big deal. The site was well…

Great place for an adventure

A few of us rode in to the steam mills campsite on motorcycles and took a couple days to enjoy the mountain air and views.

Cold, but pretty great!

My first time staying at Stokes Stat Forest, December 2020. Chose this campsite based on the photos online, the river right there was a big deal. I knew it would be cold and planned accordingly. The days were a good temperature for hiking, the nights were chilly. Once the fire died down, I snuggled…

Nice, easy getaway

This place is only an hour away from NYC with so much to do and see. These cabins are VERY rustic, four walls, a cot, and a fridge. You still feel like you are "roughing it" but with the convenience of a fridge. Absolutely zero phone service (for T-Mobile) which was AMAZING. There's a few very cute…

  • fire pit and picnic table at our cabin site. we were also able to park right next to our cabin (A-12)
  • easy parking right next to cabin
  • foggy night time!

Wonderful staff

Wonderfully kind staff, peaceful campsites and great hiking. Don’t expect much from the bathroom and shower situation.

Had reservations and left.

I was traveling with my daughter, we did not feel safe! There was no check in and anyone can drive through. The town around the area was very sketchy.

Cold night but worth it

Kicked off my first camp in the US at Jenny Jump. 2nd April 2021, site 34. Plenty of space, car park within 20-30ft. Was a cold night, 24oF. Burrr. Hikes close by. Other campers friendly. Dog friendly on a leash.

Pine trees, lake, and clean facilities

This campground is one of the best we’ve ever visited as a family. We stayed there for four nights. Pickerel Point campground is on a peninsula. So you are close to the water wherever you are on the campground. The bathrooms and showers were pristine. It is hard to believe, but the showers were…

No RV sites a step up from tent camping.

They have rustic cabins. Theae do not have plumbing or heat. It is a step up from cabin camping. They also have a beach behind it.

My home away from home.

Went here about 10 times already. Can't wait to go again. If your looking for a close beautiful campground look no further. So many activities for the kids but also when you wanna retreat back to your campground you can and it feels like you alone in the woods depending on what site you grab. God…

Some good, Some bad

I didn’t appreciate the lack of consideration due to COVID. Seemed like they went ahead and booked every spot they could. It was my first time camping so I was happy to be out but people shouldn’t be on top of each other like that. They need to rent every other site. I heard complaints about noise…
