Best Cabin Camping near Bunkerville, NV

Several campgrounds near Bunkerville, Nevada offer cabin camping options with varying amenities. Aravada Springs Campground, located in Bunkerville itself, provides cabin rentals with access to drinking water, showers, and toilets. Happy Trails Campground & Mini Motel in nearby Meadview, Arizona (about 45 minutes away) features pet-friendly cabins with electric hookups and water access. The cabins typically include basic furnishings and climate control systems to handle the desert environment. "Small town, big heart is what comes to mind when I think of Happy Trails. Extremely hospitable hosts, very welcoming, but will respect your space if you're not feeling chatty," notes one visitor who appreciated the clean facilities.

Rustic and deluxe cabin options are available depending on the location, with most properties operating year-round to accommodate visitors in all seasons. Pet policies vary by property, with both Aravada Springs and Happy Trails welcoming pets in their cabin accommodations. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during peak travel periods from spring through fall when outdoor recreation is most popular. Family-sized cabins can be found at several locations, though availability may be limited. According to one guest at Happy Trails: "I was greeted promptly by Scarlet, the 12-year-old boss. So cute! A small family run diamond in the rough RV park was such a pleasant surprise. I stayed 5 nights and will be back next year."

Most cabin rentals provide beds with mattresses but require guests to bring their own linens, pillows, and towels. Kitchen facilities range from basic microwaves to full kitchenettes with refrigerators, depending on the cabin category. Cooking equipment, utensils, and food storage containers are not typically provided, so visitors should pack accordingly. The town of Bunkerville has limited shopping options, but larger grocery stores can be found in nearby Mesquite, approximately 7 miles away. Cabins at Happy Trails benefit from the property's small market for essential items, while Aravada Springs also maintains an on-site store for basic supplies.

Sand Pit Campground — Sand Hollow State Park

    Clean and spacious campground

We stayed 2 nights at this campground(near the sandpit). Our main reason was for an off road adventure because there are numerous off road trails for Jeeps, buggies, rzrs, dirt bikes, etc...amazing grounds! The beach is an easy walk away where there are picnic tables and places to wade in the water and play frisbee by the water. Campsites had soft sand and clean firepits available. There were flushable toilets, running water, and clean showers for campers. We loved our stay!

    McArthur's Temple View RV Resort

An okay spot in St George

I typically rate campgrounds as they fit into 1 of 5 categories. This campground will be rated as a Basecamp — grounds that offer a comfortable home base that you’re happy to return to after a day of exploring the surrounding area. Ratings for this category are based on: Value to cost: 3 Overall grounds: 4 Utility of sites (hookups, layout, accessibility): 3 Local Attraction Proximity: 4 Reservation Process/Ease of Getting a Site: 5 Amenities: 4 Customer Service: 5 Cleanliness: 4

Price seems a bit high for what you get. We were in a back-in site which was $75/night after all taxes and fees (included a 10% Good Sam discount). There are limited options in the area and with Zion so close by and half the nation vacationing in RVs right now, our hands were a bit tied. We have some other favorite spots in this area but they were all booked up in late September.

These sites are CLOSE together. The one thing I liked about the layout was that they have you park on the other side of your concrete pad, so your face isn’t right at your neighbors sewer hose or slide out when you step out your door. However, your neighbor behind you is right at your bumper. Luckily, all our neighbors were friendly and pleasant. There is a picnic table and concrete area for chairs. Our table was not cleaned and seemed to have something dripped all over it (looked like blood, unconfirmed).

They have free wifi boosters they rent out during your stay so it makes the wifi not awful... good enough for browsing and checking emails with some patience.

We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice and was quiet while we were there. We actually didn’t use any facilities but the office was clean! Also, while the staff wore masks, they were virtually the only people in town wearing them. Almost all of St. George was mask-free.

Very very close to downtown St George (1.5 miles) and tons of good restaurants. Good proximity to nearby parks and Zion is less than an hour away. Staff was very friendly.

It’s a find place to stay but with cost factored in, we would only return if we were in a bind... or really wanted full hookups.

    Sand Hollow OHV Camp

    Side by side paradise

If you're in the area to see sand hollow via motorcycle or side-by-side this is a perfect base camp. For everyone else you might be quickly annoyed by the noise all day, and night. The first night we had people riding around until about 2 am.

The area is absolutely beautiful. Red Utah desert and very sandy. Your gear will be pink by the time you go home.

Lots of space to park and a fire pits scattered throughout the valley. I'd be careful with small ones and pets due to all the off road vehicles using this as a trailhead.

    Gunlock State Park Campground

    New campground - very nice

The construction is new. Sites (mostly drive through but a few back-in) have a table, fire ring, power and water.  There is no shade, so you will want to bring something for that. The bathrooms are very clean with heaters. The toilets are normal flush style toilets.

The campground is right off the road and is easy to get to.  Roads are gravel/dirt.  The rangers were friendly and helpful. I was a walk-in and it was $35.

Sand Pit Campground — Sand Hollow State Park

    Ride and relax

We stayed at a group site without hookups for a week in mid-May and had a great time! The park was not crowded at all. There are trails for all SxS/quad level riders, including dunes and rock crawling. Awesome views at the Top of the World! The lake was perfect for swimming, floating, paddle boarding, and kayaking. We heard about the swimmers itch but didn’t have any issues (showered after swimming). The bathrooms were large and clean with warm showers. Water and dump station are right by the entrance. The location was close to Walmart and other stores. We also drove about 40 minutes to Springdale and Zion National Park.

Sand Pit Campground — Sand Hollow State Park

Campground on reservoir, lots of ATV uses come here.

We stayed here for a few nights in the Sandpit campground loop.  Most of the campers there had ATV's.

The bathrooms and showers were good.  Clean and plenty of hot water.

There is also a West campground loop that caters to RV use more but it gets filled up fast.

It is a decent location for visiting Zion and other national parks and St George.

Overall, we were not excited about this campground, but it was adequate.  We had water and electricty hookup.  Many sites do not have electricity and people used their generators.

    McArthur's Temple View RV Resort

McArthur's Temple View RV Resort + Saint George

We were on a road trip around Utah and decided to stop in the town of Saint George to get a bite to eat. We ended up taking our time to eat. By the time that we finished it was already dark and a little bit late. We didn't feel like driving far to a State or National Park, so we looked on TheDyrt app for nearby campgrounds. We found the McArthur's Temple View RV Resort right in the middle of town.

We first attempted to call the resort to see if they had any openings, but it was a Sunday evening and their office was closed. We were close by so we decided to just cruise over to the site. We found the office and luckily they had an after hours info kiosk with information about available campsites. We found one that was located right behind the office and adjacent to the restroom which worked out perfect for our needs.

The resort has many other amenities that we did not have time to take advantage of such as a pool, shuffleboard, cable tv, movie theatre, etc. It appears that this is both a long term and short term RV resort with many amenities. We paid the fee via the dropbox which was about $42. The restrooms and all the facilities were clean and accessible. At this resort, you're located in the middle of town, so don't expect easy access to natural areas. However, there are natural areas nearby the town of Saint George.

The next day we drove to the nearby Valley of Fire State Park and had a blast.

Caveat: The resort's name is McArthur's Temple View RV Resort which kinda indicates that while at the resort you may view the Saint George Mormon Temple. We could view the temple from an open area within the resort, but not every campsite has a temple view. It's best to simply drive to the nearby temple and check it out if you are so inclined.

Sand Pit Campground — Sand Hollow State Park

    Red Sands

Nice campsite. It was a bit cool when we went, not too busy - which is the way we like it.  The campsite itself was nice but it could get a bit loud with all the ATVs zooming past. If you're interested they do have rentals and the park is well maintained by the state.

We stayed at site 3. Nice view of the water. We did find a giant scorpion limping past so be aware.

The dog and the kids had a lot of fun at the beach.

    McArthur's Temple View RV Resort

    Decent

Right in middle of town with lots of fast food within walking distance if you like that. Pool and restrooms were fine, a bit dated. Wifi at my site was poor, 1 mbps down, up was non existent. Friendly staff, clean grounds
