Small area for camping but new area for bringing horses to camp and trail ride. Clean with nice bunk houses. Fishing was good and sunsets amazing.

    Dunns Falls Water Park

    Okay for one night

Camping area is about five tables and grills scattered on edge of property. No real sites (no tent pads, no fire rings). Surprisingly little regulation: fires allowed anywhere, swimming “not recommended.” The friendly camp hosts actually encouraged me to camp in the day use/picnic area, since it is closer to the flush restrooms. Water spigots scattered around but most don’t work. Gate to park locks at 5pm (key provided at check in) which is nice for security. Clean area. Close to a highway but few cars traveling at night. I was the only person camping on a weekday.

$15/night. Not bad considering the locking gate and restrooms with water. The historical structures are neat, as is the waterfall. The whole park can be explored in less than an hour, so I can’t imagine staying multiple nights.

    Yogi on the Lake

Looks like it would be fun in the summer

We stopped quick passing through and it was nice an quiet. Seemed like they had a lot of water activities for summer time. We will definitely be back in the summer for a visit.

Our site was a very tight pull thru site. We definitely wouldn't of been able to pull out if the park was full. The site was very sloped so getting in the camper was difficult because the steps were so high off the ground.

    Turkey Creek Water Park

    On the Turkey Creek reservoir

By “water park” they mean “park with recreation activities on the water” not a man made park with slides and rides. This was devastating news for our friend’s young daughter! Enjoy fishing and especially water skiing with your own boat or a boat rented on site. There is mountain biking and hiking (all easy trails), a sandy beach, and just a nice relaxing atmosphere. The campgrounds are simple but modernized, moderate size, . They have a large building to rent for reunions.

Yay: great peaceful area with classic MS views. Wooded and private campsites.

Nay: costs a little more to access the lake (not bad, just a surprise). Not too far from Jackson so it felt a little crowded.

Surprise: we stayed here when the sites in the nearby National Forest were full and enjoyed it so much we added a day to our trip. That you can rent boats on site makes it so much easier!

    Yogi on the Lake

    No thank you

Nicki Ammons is the rudest GM I have ever met. She was constantly yelling and screaming at people in person and on the phone. I even heard her call someone a bitch on the phone. She was rude to us because we were staring at her. Doesn’t she have an office?? Why is she on the campground yelling and cursing people out. Obviously we were staring she was so loud the animals in the woods could hear her. You don’t even want to know what she said to us for staring. I hope she doesn’t have children. She’s the devil.

    Yogi on the Lake

    Great Campground

One of the best Campgrounds we have stayed at in our 3 years of traveling. The staff works long hours to keep this park sparkling clean during this pandemic and they all do it with a cheerful attitude. Nikki Ayers (not sure about the spelling ) in the office is Amazing , she goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is fun and memorable for the whole family. Always something fun to do here. Definitely recommend this park.
