    SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Alexandria RV parks provide full-service amenities with varied site options. Alexandria Shooting Park and RV Campground offers 50-amp electric hookups, water connections, and dump station access for RVs with an operational season from May through October. Lakes Area Motel and RV Park maintains year-round availability with 50-amp electrical service, sewer, and water hookups that accommodate larger vehicles. Andes RV Park, located in nearby Kensington, features pull-through sites with water, electric, and sewer connections alongside picnic tables and fire rings at each site. The park's gravel pads provide adequate spacing for slideouts and awnings, though big rig maneuverability varies between locations. "Super easy check in with lots of level lots that had water and electric," noted one visitor about the Alexandria Shooting Park.

Several parks in the region require advance reservations, particularly during summer months when local lakes draw seasonal travelers. Most RV sites within 30 miles of Alexandria provide standard amenities including sanitary dump stations, though availability of 50-amp service varies by location. While the Alexandria Shooting Park allows pets, visitors should note it operates alongside an active shooting range which may create noise during daytime hours. Based on reviews from The Dyrt, bathhouse and shower facilities vary considerably across parks—Andes RV Park received praise for its "brand new restroom and shower facilities with laundry," while some smaller operations offer more limited amenities. Cell service remains reliable throughout most established RV parks in Ottertail County, with firewood and ice commonly available for purchase on-site.

      Oak Park Kampground

      Hayride!

Wide and long pull through sites that are big rig friendly with a picnic table and fire ring at each site. Restrooms with showers in the campground as well as a laundry facility. There is also a swimming pool and playground. Dump station is also provided for registered campers. Additionally, there are horseshoe pits, paddle boats, and hiking/biking trails.

      Delagoon Park Campground

City Owned Park and Campground (nicest one on our two week vacation)

Stayed on 07/18/26 1 night in our 30' RV pulling a motorcycle trailer, while traveling through on I94, without a reservation.  It is 3-4 miles off the highway, and a little challenging to find (poor signage), but worth the effort.  This is a city owned and operated park, and campground BUT, it is located on the outskirts of town on a very large parcel, with no nearby industrial, or residential neighbors.  The access road from HWY 82 is 3/4 mile, and was rough in one 1/4 mile stretch (repaving pending).  The campground was completely renovated, and reopened in 2026 (new sites, hookups, restroom/shower house).  The rates have increased (we paid $56).  The sites are large, level compacted gravel, with most three pull through sites.  There were many trees removed during the renovation, limiting shade, and privacy, but allowing good views of Pebble Lake.  Our Tuesday night stay was very quiet, with only a few other campers dispersed throughout the campground.  There is a very nice playground for children, and walking/biking trails throughout the park, and a convenient dump station at the entrance.  This isn't an "RV Resort", nor a "wilderness campground", but it is the nicest campground we stayed at during our two week vacation (and possibly ever).  We would highly recommend Delagoon Campground to anyone visiting family or friends in the Fergus Falls area, or as a destination vacation campground.  Wish we could have stayed longer!

      Lake Carlos State Park Campground

      Beautiful and quiet

End of October, Stopped for just one night, probably about a 20ish minute drive from 94. Was able to purchase firewood after closing, and the campsite were easy to find after (7$)entry to the park. Campsites are reserved through an online system. We found the top campsite completely empty and plenty of sites had good tree coverage for privacy/ way no protection. Nice level sites with soft ground. Each site had a fire ring and picnic table. The only bathroom in walking distance to the upper campsites was a vault toilet located amongst the cabins. Seems like a great place to stay any season.

      Outdoors Inn Campground

      Great location next to Chippewa

      Recommended!

We had a full hookups with 50 amp service. Our site was next to US-12 and had no noise issues. The Chippewa river flows next to the camp and the adjoining river bank is woodlands. We had no insect issues. There is a super dog park and grocery just east on US-12. Found great coffee and scones in Benson at Go Set Ready Coffee.

Our site had a great camp fire pit made from a half sphere about 40 inches in diameter. Looked like the bottom of a buoy or end of a 250 lbs propane tank. The proprietor is an arborist and sold us a large bundle of hard wood that made great smores.

We picked Benson because of its close location to Glacial Lake state park and the Glacial Ridge Trail. Just take MN-29 north.  The topology change in terrain from the farm lands around Benson to the rolling hills and lakes north on MN-29 is great. Continue on MN-29 to Starbuck for a sizable lake. Take some time and explore the back roads on and around the Glacial Ridge Trail. There are many hills, forests and lakes you can explore east up to New London.

We had an encounter with a pair of swans on the side of the road next to a lake. These are large beautiful birds! We stopped in the car, kept our distance, watched from inside of the car and enjoyed them before the slipped back into the lake.

      Golden Eagle Campground

      Great for families

On the Gunflint Trail  off the beaten path! Get away from it all...really. No cell to bother you here! On Flour Lake with great service from the staff. Sights are close and tight but have nice tree and foliage growth between sites. No full hook up...but dump station on site. Fishing dock and boat rental on site with reasonable prices. In the Superior National  Forest..lots of hiking trails. Lakes all around to explore and the Gunflint  historical society up the road. Drive trail to end for some great views and the north south continental divide.  We were here for 6 days and loved it. Bath house geta a just ok from me...not the best or worse I've seen. Friendly folks everywhere.

      Camp S'more Campground

      Family friendly local campground

This is a quiet and fairly small but impeccably maintained campground located near the town of Long Prairie. It would be a nice family friendly destination for an easy lical get away. There are weekly, monthly and seasonal site rentals with RV hookups, plus they do have a fully furnished on-site RV available to rent for those who dont have their own. The owners clearly take pride in maintaining the campground and in building a friendly camp community for families
