Parmalee Bridge State Forest Campground & Canoe Camp

Multiple access options set this forested campground apart, accommodating drive-in, walk-in, hike-in, and boat-in visitors during its April through October season. The facility divides into two distinct areas: a canoe-only section and a traditional campground with standard sites.

Three vault toilets serve the campground, along with a functioning potable water pump and dumpster for trash disposal. Campers can purchase firewood from a party store located about a quarter mile down the road if dead wood collection proves difficult. The Parmalee Bridge SF Campground sits nearby for those preferring a different state forest option.

Great experience!

This was our 2nd campsite on a 3 day kayak camping trip. The site was clean and well maintained. It had a canoe only and a traditional campground area. There’s a party store about a quarter mile down the road that sells firewood if you have difficulty scavenging dead trees. 3 vault toilets. A dumpster. Functioning potable water pump.
