This one will depend on what type of things you like or why you are staying here. We were passing through but wanted to see the french quarter. The area doesn't feel safe, but inside the campgrounds does. The campground itself is clean and kept up well. They keep a guard at the gate all the time.
I wouldn’t book again for this price! I enjoyed the closeness to the French Quarters as we were able to walk everywhere. That along with a nice pool were the only pluses for me. The pool was overcrowded each time I went and the rudeness of the man on site was disgusting! We were 30 minutes early to…
We showed up to a swampy site (it’s a bayou after all) full of mosquitos. As soon as the sun went down, the termites flooded every light source. By the next day things seemed to drY up a bit and we were able to enjoy the wildlife and some great fishing. Our site was large with H2O and electricity.…
Not sure if theyjust had rain ornot but water is standing every where. Did not have reservations and was assigned site 12. Wouldn't have been my choice, but there wasn't that much to choose from.Park was actually pretty decent, just didn'tlive upto the hype I have read. 30 & 50 amp & water…

Great fishing, swimming, playground, walking trails! We had to be in this are for work and so glad we found this lake!
Located only 15 minutes from the heart of New Orleans!! The campground is spacious and each site is separated by trees or bushes. It’s very affordable like most state parks are, which is a plus. The bathrooms and showers were heated and clean, but I did have a tree frog join me during my morning…

Nicely wooded campground. Some ambient traffic noise. This is a good campground for day trips into NOLA.
Permit and sign-in/out required on Louisiana WMA website. Close to a boating launch that has a bathroom and water. The site has 3 picnic tables with plenty of room for tents or rvs. About 2 miles from town, with decent service. Beautiful sunsets over the fields.
This was a great place- especially for an overnight. Easy to navigate through the park- all concrete. This site was level. No wifi, but AT&T cell service worked fine. Water and Electricity with dump station on site. Trashcans conveniently around the park.
Large campsite with 100 spots filled mostly with RVs.
- 20 minutes from NOLA
- friendly staff! we arrived late at night and staff let us check in the AM! They’ll also let you drive through to pick an available spot.
- very clean laundry room! Loads were $1.75
- hot showers :)
- stop at Joe’s…
As stated in other reviews this KOA is close to town and very convenient. But it's noisy. Traffic, trains, airplanes and construction noise, you've got it all here. Bring earplugs if your tent camping. The staff is super friendly though and the amenities are very nice.
Good location close to everything lots are a little small but good for a quick stay
The lady at the front desk was nice. She told us where to go to see the garden district and the French Quarter. They only took a few minute drive to get there. This campground is in a neighborhood. Seems odd, but it works. They have night security. With the AC on, it was pleasant. Our site was…
Very friendly and helpful staff, close to New Orleans..what more could you ask for? Will be a repeat!
