US Forest Service manages this no-pets campground along a river access point in Routt National Forest. Jack Park Trailhead serves primarily as a staging area for backcountry access rather than a destination camping spot. The site sits near flowing water, providing both natural sounds and proximity to fishing opportunities.
Campers use this location as a launching point for wilderness exploration, with the Illinois River Trailhead located 1.1 miles southwest offering additional trail access. The campground functions best for self-contained units and tent campers comfortable with basic facilities in a forest setting.
