The best couple days on the beach!!

We had never been to the ocean and had so much fun having our camper parked directly off the beach. It was so clean and beautiful. Planning on visiting again!

Spot next to beach

It was a pretty standard RV park next to the beach. Had some cool views that are a very short walk. The only issue we had was a tweeker across the bay was screaming at the top of her lungs for about 20min, other than that pretty standard RV park fair.

If you got kids, and just need a spot to stop it's not bad. Kids can run on the beach without too much trouble. It's a bit expensive for what it is.

High Theft- Homeless Problem

I have spent a lot of time in the lost coast since 1978.
It’s sad to see the area go down hill. Campers are sitting ducks for property crime.

We had our 2 mountain bikes stolen- valued $4,000.00. Bikes were locked with a heavy chain and hood lock. The thieves come between 3:00 am to 4:00 am with either a cordless grinder or large bolt cutter. Supposedly a harden chain and lock can’t be cut. Must buy on line- not what Home Depot sells.

Propane tanks, chairs, BBQ May also be stolen- but bikes are the desired item.

It’s so sad to see this beautiful area become a waste land. Police do not do anything- they can’t.

Crescent City officials say they can’t install cameras, lights, or gates due to coastal commission restrictions.

I don’t believe because the Harbor next door to campground has lights and cameras.

Area is stunning- place all valuables inside RV.

We stay here for 3 months at a time- starting in September.

We may not be back.

Huge and very dangerous homeless encampments. We drove around looking for our bikes- and accidentally drove into a homeless encampment. Police said they won’t go into these places.

The encampment looked like a war zone. Very scary. Burnt out cars, RVs, trash, very bad.

LOVE IT!!!

My family had a blast camping here! Full rv hook ups, clean bathrooms and showers, and gorgeous views of the bay and Battery Point Lighthouse. Within walking distance to Ocean World and the Apple Peddler. Longer walk but a nice walk or bike ride to beach front park. All of the campsites have concrete slabs but not all sites have picnic tables and you have to bring your own fire pit.

E bikes stolen, vagrants on road

Cool beach and lighthouse, but no gates or fencing to keep vagrants out, you can see them out front, no fence or gate to keep them out, so our locked e-bikes were stolen, both of them. The next day other guests got 2 more e-bikes stolen too! 4 bikes in two days! No security at night, no gate, or fence. Won't go back to CA, it seemed to be a problem all over CA. Other campgrounds in other towns reported e-bikes stolen.

Meets the needs

Nothing fancy but the Campground took care of us just fine! We were happy to find a last minute place to stay on the water of the Crescent Harbor. Hot showers & cheaper laundry fees were a great bonus:)

Great bayside campground

Not fancy, but a great place to stay while checking out the beautiful scenery in and around Crescent City. Walking distance to lighthouse, downtown and restaurants and seafood markets at Crescent City harbor.

Great 🏖 tent ⛺️ camping!

This review is more for the tent camping on the beach. I loved it to say the least. If you need electric and water it’s not for you but if you want to sleep on the beach and wake up to the sun over the ocean this is for you! Camping for me is adventurous and a little uncomfortable...don’t get me wrong I like to glamp but this is where it’s at!
