Nice little campground in a Redwood Grove. Big stumps in the park remind you of the old giants. Sites are packed in, but laid out well. Sites have picnic table and fire ring.
Beautiful sites, some more spaced out that others. $20/night. Flush toilets, fire pit, and picnic tables. I got site 30 which was right next to the exit so a good amount of traffic but otherwise an amazing site in the trees! I had strong cell service through Verizon.
This is a great spot right in the redwoods. For only $15 a night tent camping, you really can’t beat it. Fresh water, bathrooms and fire pits with tables. Everything you could need. Camp hosts are friendly! Truly a magical place to stay
Enjoyed every visit. Watch for meat bees in the summer.
This place is absolutely breathtaking! I want to go up to this area every if I could. There is so much to see and so much to ponder. This is a great place to see what the world looked like Thousands of years ago!
With trees being hundreds and thousands of years old you get to see just a glimpse of what we were and where we came from. I was expecting to see a dinosaur at one point!
If you are planning to just drive through you are doing the wrong thing. You need to stay at least a week and walk through this magestic land!
This campground is absolutely breathtaking. If you’re looking to stay in the Redwoods, this is the place to be.
Great prices, clean bathrooms, nice picnic table and fire pit!
You’ll be surrounded by redwoods and there’s a magical rainforest vibe of you venture into the forests!
Showed up pretty late, probably about 10-10:30pm. Found a good site and set up right away. Sites had picknick tables and fire rings with BBQ grates on them. Our neighbors were awesome, we all sat around the campfire and sang songs together to acoustic guitar played by and amazingly talented young woman from Canada. All in all great experience. $15 a night placed in an envelope in the drop box.
Camping amidst redwoods is an experience not soon forgotten. The campgrounds were spacious with fire rings and picnic tables. The towering redwoods make you feel like you've been transported to an alien planet. It is conveniently located near the 101 highway and was decently priced ($15). The only downside worth noting is when entering the bathroom you feel like you are walking into a butcher shop in a horror movie.
This is an amazing campground right off of hwy 101. With old growth redwood stumps and trails amongst new growth. If you are driving by you must stop. This is a beautiful site. I do have to warn you this must be under old school management, while most host sites are clean and managed this host site looks like something out of a horror movie. Not to scare you but they must be old time long term (hoarding( hosts.
