Multiple campers commented on spacious, private sites with convenient water access and quality fire facilities. Some road noise noted from Highway 74, though most found the setting comfortable and secluded.

NICE! $8/night Water, Trash, Vault Toilet Flat, open, scenic spots

After finding out Idlyllwild Campground lied about allowing campfires we moved on to this alternate and it was *Wonderful*.

4 of us pulled in with 14ft trailer + 12x12 tent to site #3 and found a spacious,  camp-fires's allowed, wonderul campground that was 90% empty.

Enjoyed our stay here for 6 nights and drove down to Palm Springs several times - about a 40minute drive - not bad at all.

Nice campground with water, trash, vault toilet.   No power but it was spacious and no neighbors so running a generator was no problem.     No one bothered us or campsite even though there are a least 2 drive-thrus/day and at least 1 other overnighter.

Good Place if Needed

The campsites are fine. Well used. There are pit toilets. Fresh water (you can fill water without camping). Had spaces on Labor Day weekend. It’s cooler than Palm Springs. (It feels like summer, not hell). Fire pits. I guess that works when fire risk is low. Note: I can faintly hear dogs and chickens from nearby houses. Oh, and the road traffic.

Desert camping nestled in the mountains

Arrived late at night around 11:30 pm to find many sites available. Campground was spacious and surrounded by foliage and shrubs to provide a sense of privacy and seclusion. I would camp here again!

Nicely spaced campsites

Rather larger parcels for individual camping and rv sites. definitely not on top of your neighbors. I’m picky when it comes to sites and privacy so trust me you’ll enjoy this. It’s right off hwy 74 so you hear cars but it’s not bad. Great views from everywhere, find a spot with trees so you can have some extra shade! I’m quite impressed with the fire pits other than the fact they’re fairly shallow. They have this really cool grill grate that you can raise and lower over one side of the fire. There’s a faucet at each campsite I believe, at least at site 19 and several others I walked by.
