It was good

You have to bring your own water and bring plenty. You also have to carry out your trash. Unfortunately not everyone does. Did some hunting and bagged a deer. If your a beginner camper I wouldn't recommend camping here.

Beautiful camping

I grew up camping at Lopez Lake as well as other campsites. Lopez Lake offers a lot. Fishing hiking camping horse back riding etc. I highly recommend camping here.

Sitepretty much all of them that had tent camping.

Direct access to beach; great amenities

This is a pricey rv park, but great location and very busy. It is competitive with the others around and think it was the best one in the area. There are over 400 sites and so you are very, very close to your neighbor and tight parking at your rv, but the grounds are kept very nice and there are…

Lake San Antonio

I love this lake it has something for everyone. Like swimming, boating, camping, going on a picnic, and fishing in some areas. I would consider this one of the best campsites I’ve been to

Gorgeous location- but come early in the morning to get a spot

This is one of my favorite campsites due to iats relatively small size and gorgeous views of Big Sur. There is a cute, rocky private beach with access from the campground and a long hiking trail across the street that is dog friendly (just be aware of poison oak).

Just note that if planning…

Unbelievable Spot

My wife and I found this spot on our Honeymoon. Dispersed camping all along the trail, despite a sign saying no car camping. It was a 45 min (6 mile) trip up a dirt road but boy was it worth it. The trail continued toward a campsite, but we found a spot that we couldn’t pass up (see pics). We were…

Morro Dunes

We have stayed here many times. Very clean, friendly staff, and the best thing of all is the access to the beach is across the street.

Coastal beauty at its finest

If you are driving up from the south and going to Big Sur this is a great place to camp for the night. It captures the beauty of the coastline and has some hiking trails down to the water. They had firewood for sale when we were there which was super convenient. There isn’t much more that needs to…

Incredible trails, lots of tree cover, all sites are in the shade

This is not a camp ground for taking your big travel trailer or large RV!!!!  I would say that your max tow trailer would be a 24' and then you will need a place to park your truck.  Some spots are great, some horrible.  Meaning that you are just parking next to the main road.  We got very lucky…

Hard to believe that it is free

We towed our 30' travel trailer up to this dispersed campground that is located along a ridge line on the west side of the 101.  When we went, of the (7) formal sites that are up there, only 3 of them were taken and that was off and on.   We didn't need 4x4 getting up there or even a high clearance…

Too tight spaces, no security

The spaces between RVs are too tight. It feels you almost look into the others van. No security and no management on site. Everyone can just come in,no gates. Nothing to do there. Nothing happened but I didn't like it. Its ok to stay overnight and move on.

Expansive views and peaceful

I spent two nights at this BLM property. It was very quiet except for relatively far off gunfire one morning. I think there are eight campsites here, Each one with a covered picnic table. There is a well-maintained pit toilet relatively close to all sites. The campers were respectful of each…

Great place to stay!

Not only wAs this campground clean, but so good if you want tons of things to do. We biked to the beach. Swam at the pool. Watched an outdoor movie. Played shuffleboard, etc.

Great Location, lots of space

This campground is in a very cool location. You can walk straight out to the beach. There’s a monarch Grove right next to you. And it’s about a 15-20 minute walk to Pismo beach Downtown and the Pier where you’ll find all of the main attractions in the area.

Most of the campsites have little to no…

Growing up

Growing up we always came camping at Lopez Lake, for many reason, being that there were lots of kids, my parents kid friendly atmosphere. LOPEZ LAKE, had just that. Threw out the years they've added, a few things. I give Lopez Lake 6⭐'s
