The Best Dispersed Camping Near Eagleville, California

The facility is located on the 22N24 Road spanning the South Fork Feather River. The facility will feature new campspurs, new toilets, picnic tables and fire rings. This camp is ideal for OHV enthusiasts. Water: Hand pump broken at this time. Access from Feather Falls side only at this time.

Golden Trout Campground

This campground lies on the south shore of the Middle Fork Feather River on Forest route 22N62 at the confluence of the Little North Fork of the Middle Fork Feather River and South Branch Feather River. Access is via Brush Creek or Mountain Spring House off Lumpkin Ridge Road. The facility has no water or garbage collection. Pack it in, pack it out for your trash. Road access is not recommended for RVs and trailers. A vault toilet, dedicated campsites, and fire rings are provided. Campfires are prohibited when fire restrictions are in effect. Propane or white gas stoves and lanterns are permitted during fire restrictions with a valid California campfire permit. Please respect closed areas for protection of natural resources.

Milsap Campground

Black Rock Campground is a walk-in tent campground that features shoreline sites. Campsites are adjacent to the lake. Spaces are also available in the parking area for overnight RV camping. ## Overview

Diablo Campground is located in the Packer Lake area near the Sierra Buttes, in northern California. It is north of the Yuba River and next to Packer Creek. Visitors enjoy a wide variety of recreational activities in the area, including hiking, biking, hunting, fishing and canoeing. This facility is operated and maintained by the Tahoe National Forest.

## Recreation

A large network of trails is available in this area including the Pacific Crest Trail which can easily be accessed from the trailhead adjacent to the nearby Packsaddle Campround. Hikers can reach a variety of alpine lakes, which offer plentiful fishing. Canoeing opportunities are available at Packer Lake.

## Facilities

The campground offers single-family, tent campsites on two loops. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring. Vault toilets are provided.

## Natural Features

The campground lies near the banks of Packer Creek. Stands of lodgepole pine provides partial shade at many sites. 

## Nearby Attractions

The Lakes Basin area offers boating, fishing, hiking and more than 30 miles of maintained trails, that are also open to biking and horseback riding. The lakes provide visitors with ample opportunities to enjoy boating, canoeing and fishing. Anglers will find rainbow and brook trout in many of the scenic bodies of water in the area. A boat ramp is located at Gold Lake.

Diablo

Whitehorse campground is located within three miles of Bucks Lake in the northern Sierra Mountains on the Plumas National Forest. Bucks Lake camping offers year-round recreation activities including fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, skiing,snowshoeing and horseback riding. Recreation Bucks Lake provides fishing, boating, and canoeing. There are walking trails to the lake. A hiking trail runs from the campground and provides access to Buck Wilderness and the Pacific Crest Trail which runs adjacent to the campground. Facilities There are 19 total campsites suitable for RV and tent camping, 16 of which are standard non-electric sites and three are equestrian non-electric sites. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. There are vault toilets and drinking water is available. Sites are walk-up May 24, 2019 thru June 30, 2019. Sites may be reserved July 1, 2019 thru September 8, 2019. Natural Features Whitehorse is set in fir and pine trees offering shade during the warm summer months. Situated at 5,500 feet in elevation, the campground is settled along a small creek that feeds into Bucks Lake. Nearby Attractions The nearby Bucks Lake Lodge has a bar, restaurant and store offering fishing supplies and groceries. ADA Access: N

Whitehorse Campground - Bucks Lake Recreation Area

## Overview

Sardine Lake Campground is located in the North Yuba River area, near the beautiful Sardine Lakes. Visitors enjoy a wide variety of recreational activities in the area, including hiking, hunting, fishing, canoeing and gold panning. This facility is operated and maintained by the Tahoe National Forest. 

## Recreation

Boating, fishing and swimming are available at nearby Sardine Lakes and Sand Pond. Sardine Lakes Resort offers boat rentals, lodging, and a restaurant. A large network of trails is available in the area, including Deer Lake and Tamarack Lakes Trails and the Pacific Crest Trail. 

## Facilities

The campground offers several single-family campsites and one double site. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, campfire ring, and a food storage locker. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided.

## Natural Features

The campground stretches along a wet meadow at the base of the scenic Sierra Buttes. A forest of lodgepole pine offers partial shade. Beautiful high mountain lakes and rugged peaks can be found throughout the surrounding area. 

## Nearby Attractions

Lakes Basin offers many opportunities for boating, fishing and hiking. Boating, fishing and swimming are available at nearby Sardine Lakes, less than a mile to the west. Sardine Lakes Resort offers boat rentals. Anglers will find rainbow and brook trout in many of the lakes, streams, and rivers throughout the basin. A more developed boat ramp is located at Gold Lake and accomodates launching of larger boats. Over 30 miles of maintained trails for hiking, mountain biking, and motorcycle singletrack branch out across the area and the Pacific Crest Trail can be accessed at a few spots in the Lakes Basin area. The historic towns of Sierra City and Downieville offer historic and cultural attractions, restaurants, shops, churches, and vistor information.

Sardine Lake

Collins Lake is a favorite Northern California destination for families. This 1,600 acre recreation area offers LAKEFRONT RV& TENT camping with excellent fishing and wakeboarding. Collins Lake has California’s largest private trophy trout planting program of any lake north of Sacramento and equally famous for bass, crappie& catfish. Facilities include RV hookups, cabins, hot showers, laundry, marina, rental boats, sandy beach, playground, store with huge ice creams& espresso drinks. Family friendly with movies under the stars and live music every summer summer. Located only 70 miles northeast of Sacramento at 1200’ elevation. Family owned and operated since 1972.

Collins Lake Recreation Area

Salmon Creek Campground is located in the North Yuba River area. Visitors enjoy a wide variety of recreational activities in the area, including hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, and gold panning. This facility is operated and maintained by the Tahoe National Forest.
