Convient and great location

Great for kids and very clean. Sites are close together but the terrace makes for a little space from each tent site. Very close to Carmel makes a morning walk on the beach and back in the pool by lunch very manageable.

Nice RV Park, Reasonable Rates

We happened upon this RV Park as a drop in when our other park was not available. What a pleasant surprise! We’ll be making this our go to spot when traveling through the Gilroy area from now on.

For starters, the staff is wonderful. So friendly. Just an FYI, if they have open spots after the…

A little tight but worth it

Cute campsite right against the river. Fun for everyone especially the dogs. This time of the year the spaces next to the water are very shaded. Sunny across the street. Walked a trail to a nice bistro where we found some craft beer, cheese plate and fries. Delicious. Super friendly everywhere. We…

Cold NorCal Beach

The beach is socked in with mist even on sunny days most of the year. Little ones might not like the 1 mile flat hike in, but it’s easy and feels very short on the way out. There is a fee but it’s waived if you are staying at pfieffer state park. You do need to cross a small river (knee deep in…

Unique, no-frills campground close to Monterey

I had my doubts trying this campground out.  Right next to a race track? No potable water?  But it turns out my doubts were unfounded.  My daughter and I had a great time here!  A short list of things we liked and things we didn't.

Pros:

- Beautiful views!  Not every site has them, but most…

  • Playground and view of the racetrack
  • Porta Potties closer to the site than the walk to the bathroom
  • I was assigned one of these sites first. These are really trailer sites and SOOOO close together. I asked for a change and they accommodated.

Twisty drive to a beautiful campground

Well maintained campground. Some smaller and uneven spots but worth it. Next to great hikes.

Bathrooms are great.

Absent staff. Resort closed.

I drove to this area, telephoned, and Emailed the resort without any response. The resort is quite lovely, surrounded by trees and nature. It appears this campground is closed.

Best kept secret!

We stayed in Valley View #1 (campsite 115 specifically), which is nestled in the redwoods with plenty of room and privacy. This park is well maintained with staff that care.

Perhaps the best part of this less known campground and park is the quiet nature of it with no major crowds. Trails were…

Easily the best campground I’ve been to!

The restrooms were clean, the grounds were clean and the environment was incredible. Definitely planning on coming back.

Hidden Gem

Came here on a Wednesday and paid $34 to camp overnight. There's 25 campsites; each with a food locker, fire ring, a picnic table, and parking space for 2 sedan sized vehicles or 1 RV. 8 people max per site. Bathrooms were spotless with running hot water, showers were also available. The rangers…

Really good but

Nice area, right next to the river, super quiet. Don't count on the internet, it only works if your very close to the office and there's no dump station

Decent camping in beautiful Big Sur

This campground is divided into 2 sections- a redwood forest side and a beach side. The forest side is for smaller vehicles only- we were in our van and had to camp on the beach side, which had an RV park feel as sites were crammed close together on gravel and under the highway bridge, unless you…
