Four cabin camping options exist near Topawa, Arizona. Camp Saguaro provides clean, well-maintained cabins with community fire pits and individual site fire rings. "The hosts are lovely and the mercantile is adorable. The grounds are exceptionally well kept and everything is clean and tidy," according to visitor feedback. Justin's Diamond J RV Park offers cabin accommodations with full hookup utilities, though the park maintains strict policies including no pets, cash-only payments, and adult-only restrictions. Most cabins require guests to bring their own bedding, towels, and personal supplies. Cooking facilities vary by location, with some offering community kitchens or fire rings for meal preparation. The remoteness of certain properties like Caballo Loco Ranch means visitors should arrive prepared with necessary provisions. Cell service is inconsistent throughout the region, with reviewers noting poor connectivity at some locations. Many properties provide water and basic utilities, but access to grocery stores requires planning due to the rural setting. Proximity to Saguaro National Park provides hiking opportunities directly from some properties.

    Justin's Diamond J RV Park

    Great Sky Views

Great views of the sky at night and very quiet but we were never able to get in touch with anyone from the office. Nice spacious sites but the common areas really need some love. There’s no pool which is a must have in Arizona’s heat. Great Verizon cell signal no WiFi, or could never get in touch with anyone to get a code.

    Justin's Diamond J RV Park

    The Nicest People

I love Tucson. The big plus about this park (other than the really nice people) is that is borders park land and there are SO many acres and miles of trails right out of the campground. The grounds and the surrounding desert have an abundance of interesting succulents and cacti and gorgeous mountains all around. Most of the folks here are long termers- we only stayed for 4 days. The sites for short termers are by the road and not the best, just gravel sites with full hookups, but sufficient for our needs. No picnic tables. No public toilets. Laundry facilities and a gathering room.

    Camp Saguaro

    Cute Cozy Camp

The hosts are lovely and the mercantile is adorable. The grounds are exceptionally well kept and everything is clean and tidy. There is a community fire pit for campers to enjoy together or fire pits at each site to enjoy on your own. Showers, restroom, laundry, and water! Lovey Dovey was a little tight for my 9.5 Ft tall 21 Ft long campervan but it was a wonderful spot. I think all the spots might be nice though!

    Justin's Diamond J RV Park

Have to pay cash or check

Justin's Diamond J doesn't allow credit card payment and doesn't have online reservations. It's adult only and had a bunch of restrictions. No use of washers/dryers in RVs, no streaming/skyping, no electric heaters. Breed restrictions on pets. See photo for brochure. There are pickleball/tennis courts, a dog area, horse shoes and bocce ball. Sites are full hookup. Premium sites offer better views and have more privacy.

    Justin's Diamond J RV Park

Nice clean quiet well kept RV Park

We stayed there for a week in February 2022 visiting family and friends, and exploring the attractions of the area.

Justin’s is a busy place and office staff were almost always on the phone trying to arrange nights of availability or help the travelers any way that they could. When we called they could accommodate us but we ended up in 3 different spots over our week’s stay as there were reservations for the spots that they needed to honor. For us it wasn’t a big deal as we were in a 31’ Minihome. When no space was available I overheard them offering free dry camping until a spot opened up. The business has a very capable and customer focused staff.

The RV Park is clean and capably run. We really enjoyed our stay there and we would return again.

An interesting feature of the Park is that it has walking trails that lead to the Saguaro National Park, but the area around the RV Park is rich with the native plants of the area all on its own. If you travel through Tucson, Saguaro National Park’s Desert Museum is a recommended place to go.

Caballo Loco Ranch and RV Park

    RV locos in the boonies!

Interesting RV park in some rugged desert foothills. Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly spots. Some are full hookups, some are dry camping. Community center, trash dumpsters, washroom showers, central fresh water spigots for the dry campers. Seems to be an interesting community of folks that return year after year. Staff was very friendly even to those that showed up without a reservation or prior notice. They found us a spot for a couple nites per our needs. Cell signal is poor for TMobile and Verizon, slightly better with ATT. RV area is rolling ridges and steep sections, this is not a flat RV park. The access road from paved hwy was 7.9 miles of washboard sandy dusty dirt so be warned. Additional thoughts are that the short-term options are limited, there is a very large ranch generator that runs 6am to 10 pm every day, and did I mention the 8 mi of dusty washboard sandy road makes quick trips to town uninviting. Hence the 4 stars.

    Justin's Diamond J RV Park

    Rather disorganized

Sites are not well defined but once you know where to park the sites are quite large. No real shade is available as the trees are desert spindly. There has been no one in the office and we were told to just park anywhere.

Caballo Loco Ranch and RV Park

    Wolf's in sheep's clothing, Beware

Place is a nightmare. Have police report from requiring police to escort due to harassment from disturbed owners. Dog was bitten by pit bull, owner did nothing but blame me and call me mentally ill. Very sick thing. Horrible road, brown water and a homeless camp setting. Go for a drive through first. And rules aren't followed. Owners Michelle and Jim even harassed the police officer, which caused me to make multiple trips to Colorado to leave. I walked away from a home, ATV and 5th wheel just to get away from these people. It's like hell on earth with demonic people.... Good luck should you go, you'll need it. Owner also posted a response comment with lies calling me names etc. These are sick evil people who will harm you, caution. Check police report from April 17th with sheriff dept.
