This is a fee site with 11 campsites, vault toilet, boat ramp, day use parking, and bank fishing accessible to persons with disabilities. The hand pump water well is not operable at this time. Fees at Bennett Peak are $10 per night per campsite. Each campsite has a picnic table, fire ring/grill, sandy tent pad, parking space but no pull-throughs. The elevation is 7,200 feet and an abundance of wildlife including bald eagle, bighorn sheep, pronghorn, wild turkey, mule deer, mountain lion, grouse, rattlesnakes, and rainbow and brown trout can be found. The campground is located on the banks of the North Platte River and enjoyed by hunters and anglers, who find trout in the North Platte River and big game in the nearby Snowy Range. Use season predominately from June 1st through November 15th depending on winter conditions.

The Encampment River Campground is a great location near the Encampment River for fishing, floating and hiking the Encampment River Trail. The campground has 8 campsites, vault toilet, day use parking and a foot trail. Each campsite features a picnic table, fire ring or grill, sandy tent pad, and parking space. No pull-throughs please and horses are not allowed in the campground. Bring potable water and firewood. Camping season is typically June through mid-November. The trail is open to hikers year round. No motor vehicles are allowed on the trail. Camping fees are $10 per campsite per night. The riparian area has cottonwoods, willows, juniper, wild rose, grasses and sagebrush. Visitors will see a variety of wildlife including bald eagles, bighorn sheep, pronghorn, mule deer, grouse, rattlesnakes. Both rainbow trout and brown trout are abundant.

Encampment River Campground

Ryan Park Campground lies along the Snowy Range Scenic Byway in the Medicine Bow National Forest, at an elevation of 8,000 feet. The site is intriguing for history buffs; it was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s and was used as a prisoner of war camp for Italians and Germans during World War II. Recreation Visitors can access nearby road cycling routes, stream fishing and day hiking. Scenery abounds in the Snowy Range high country, including the Mirror Lake picnic area, which campers can reach via a paved road from the campground. Although little remains of either of the two historical camps, visitors can learn more from interpretive signs on the facility grounds. Facilities Ryan Park boasts 42 campsites and one group campsite. The group site has 14 sites and can host up to 140 visitors. All campsites have picnic tables and campfire rings with grates. Natural Features The campground is situated in a mountainous area along Barrett Creek in the Medicine Bow National Forest. The surrounding forest consists of evergreen trees and aspen that turn golden in fall. The Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests and Thunder Basin National Grassland encompass nearly 3 million acres from central and northeastern Wyoming to north-central Colorado. Black bear, bobcat, coyote, elk, mule deer and moose are just some of the many animals that inhabit these rich and diverse lands. Nearby Attractions The historic Brush Creek Visitor Center is located 2.5 miles west of the campground and provides information on various outdoor recreation opportunities, including hiking, biking, camping, horseback and off-road vehicle riding, fishing, hunting, sightseeing and winter sports. Ryan Park

This tiny but mighty cabin, w/breakfast & coffee included, sits up on Jelm Mountain at 7600 ft with a view overlooking the Laramie River. This cozy spot is equipped with a queen bed, Outhouse, (with access to a full, not shared, bathroom) propane gas grill, picnic table, fire pit, hot tub/Sun room, and gazebo. .

Little Cabin with a View sits right on the edge of Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest and is close to the Wyoming Colorado Border. This makes it an amazing hiking destination and great for snowshoeing and nordic skiing in the winter. Depending on the time of year a trip up Jelm Mountain offers some beautiful views. The lack of light pollution make for great star gazing or full moon watching from the gazebo, hot tub or the Little Cabin front porch.

There is electricity, electric heat, microwave & mine fridge. The Wi-Fi is accessible in the sunroom/hot tub area, located about 180 ft from the Little Cabin, but does not extend to the Little Cabin. Downlading is slow but checking messages, social media & wi-fi calling works fine. Download anything you want to watch or listen to prior to arrival.

Fur Babies are welcome. They love the room to run.

Fire Pit use is dependent on winds and the weather and how dry the surrounding area is.



Little Cabin With a View

The campground is located on Brooklyn Lake. Every site has a view of the lake ranging from great to spectacular. The lake is a nice canoeing lake in the shadow of the snow capped Browns Peak. This campground provides 19 campsites with tables, fire rings, trash pick up, and vault toilets. There is fishing access in Brooklyn Lake and trail access to the Sheep Lake Trail #389 and Glacier Lakes Trail. Internal-combustion motors are prohibited on the lake, only hand-powered boating allowed. There is a carry down access for boats (no ramp). Dogs must be leashed in the campground.

## Overview

Seedhouse Campground, located 25 miles north of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, is a gateway to the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness along the Elk River Corridor with plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding, camping, fishing, river rafting and more. 

## Recreation

Seedhouse is located near Mount Zirkel Wilderness and provides a great gateway for hiking and biking. Trout fishing is accessible on the river as well as several mountain streams.   
  
Campers can access the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail via a connector trail nearby. 

## Facilities

There are 24 campsites, 15 of which may be reserved. Remaining sites are first-come, first-served. Each site is spacious and equipped with a campfire ring and picnic table. There are two hand pump water systems throughout the campground.

At an elevation of 8,000 feet, Seedhouse lies in the Rocky Mountains in the heart of the Routt National Forest near the Middle Fork of the Elk River, which visitors can hear from the campground.   
  
The Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests and Thunder Basin National Grassland encompass nearly three million acres from central and northeastern Wyoming to north-central Colorado.   
  
Black bear, bobcat, coyote, elk, mule deer and moose are just some of the many animals that inhabit these rich and diverse lands.

Seedhouse Campground

North Fork Campground lies along the banks of the North Fork of the Little Laramie River in the Medicine Bow National Forest. The facility is popular for RV camping, fishing, hiking and mountain biking. Recreation Mountain bikers and hikers have the ease of accessing the scenic, well-known North Fork Trail from the campground. Visitors who would like a more leisurely experience can drive the scenic Highway 130 or take in the view at the North Fork Overlook nearby. Anglers can fish for trout in the clear mountain waters of the North Fork of the Little Laramie. Facilities A total of 60 campsites are divided into two sections. Most sites lie along the river banks. Vault toilets and a hand pump for drinking water are provided. A campground host is available for visitor assistance. Natural Features Located at an elevation of 8,600 feet, the campground sits in a thick forest of lodgepole pine and spruce. The sound of the Little Laramie River can be heard from most campsites. For this reason, hundreds of thousands visit every year. Plan ahead and experience once-in-a-lifetime camping in Wyoming in the process. 


Although abundant, camping in Wyoming is extremely sought after, especially near the park. Twelve campgrounds within Yellowstone National Park provide adventurers with plentiful options, but planning ahead is vital. The Canyon Campground allows easy access to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, a picture-perfect waterfall and river vista in the north-central region. Visit Artist’s Point and hike the 300 feet down to the lower falls to feel the rush of the Yellowstone River. 


For a more touristy experience, snag a site in the Madison Campground. Being one of the largest in the park and less than 20 miles from the famous geyser Old Faithful, this area is a go-to for first time visitors. Sitting at an elevation just below 7,000 feet, the crisp mountain air will refresh. This area gets a lot of traffic, so pack in your patience and remember that the parks are for everyone to enjoy. 


Camping in Wyoming also gives the chance to get off the grid. Grand Teton National Park is directly to the south of Yellowstone and allows for some easy-access backpacking. When done right, you can avoid the droves of humanity that flock to the Greater Yellowstone region. 


For an easy trek into the backcountry, get a scenic spot along Leigh Lake or String Lake. These camping sites are often booked months in advance, so get them quick! A hidden gem tucked in the shadow of Mount Moran is Bearpaw Lake and is also relatively accessible from the same trail. Remember your bear spray and enjoy some genuine Wyoming camping!

French Creek

Bow River Ranger Station is a house built in the 1960s for the forest ranger that worked on the northern portion of the Snowy Range. Recreation The Upper Medicine Bow River flows past the back yard and provides fishing and wildlife viewing. Facilities The house is all electric with one full bath with two showers, a 1/2 bath, large kitchen, small living room, two bedrooms with two bunk beds in each, a vault toilet outside and fire ring in back yard. The facility is handicap accessible. Cell phone coverage is fair. The kitchen has basic pots, pans, dishes and silverware. Guests are expected to clean the facility before leaving. No trash service; this is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out facility. Sleeps eight. Natural Features The house sits on the national forest boundary where sagebrush meets the forest. Nearby Attractions Medicine Bow River, Turpin Reservoir, Sand Lake and Bow River Campground are all nearby. ADA Access: N

Bow River Ranger Station

South Brush Creek Campground is a sunny campground with small trees among the campsites. The 20 sites include 6 pull-throughs (trailers under 32'), picnic tables, fire grates, toilets and trash service. (Mid September there is NO water, trash service or toilets thru May.) Recreational opportunities include the Brush Creek Hiking Trail System, the Stump Hollow and Cedar OHV trails, and fishing in area streams. The Brush Creek Visitor Center is nearby on Hwy 130. 

South Brush Creek Campground

This campground is three miles off the Snowy Range Scenic Byway (Hwy 130) beside North Brush Creek. Facilities include: 12 small camp sites, picnic tables, water, toilets, fire grates and trash service. Elevation: 7,800 OHV/ATV Trails: Stump Hollow Trail and Cedar Creek Trail. Kennaday Peak is nearby and offers a panaramic view of the area. Pick up a free Motor Vehicle Use Map at the Ranger station in Saratoga, WY. Fishing: Streams in the area support populations of brook and brown trout.

This is a first come-first serve campground, no reservations. This is our most popular campground, arrive early to find a spot.

The campground has 16 sites in a single loop that meanders along a spruce and fir-lined hillside in the midst of a fisherman's paradise of 102 recreational lakes.  This is a rustic, picturesque campground where every site has delightful views of the Snowy Range. 22 foot max trailer length. Tight roads and small campsites. Tents must be set up on tent pads and are not permitted outside the developed pad.

The campground is convenient to a variety of hiking trails and two crystal clear snow-melt lakes - Libby and Lewis Lakes.  Three popular trailheads originate in this area. You must carry your boat to the water's edge.
