Last Chance Camp, Cheyenne
Great Privacy and Relaxing
Fantastic host and communication. We were in 30 ft 5th wheel for one night, passing thru. Road was great condition and most paved. Close to I25. No real noise. We parked easy in wide open field with truck attached. Nicely spaced with a few tent campers. Definitely would return. Nice place to walk around in the morning.

The sites are spaced out nicely and there is plenty of room for dog walking and kids playing frisbee or softball or catch or just about anything. The street lights shining into the camper is annoying and the sun rising on the wrong side of the camper was not enjoyable and it's nothing that a canopy can stop. Had we noticed, we would have backed up about 12 ft and been in the shade but we were in site 32 which has two spots back to back but still provides plenty of room. Very close to Scotts Bluff. That is why we chose this campground. The tenant is very accommodating and makes his rounds regularly and is very helpful and we were thankful for that. There is a park right by the campground. This campground is run by the city and at the time of our booking was $50 a night. Full hookups. Level sites. Showers aren't the best but they're clean. Wi-Fi is horrible but cell service is excellent.

Great website but Nope!
Looked good on their website. So I booked online for $58, they add $20 booking fee and a $2.57 convenience fee and taxes it’s now $88. Get there and it’s a gravel and dirt lot. Lots of long term campers some of those haven’t moved in a long time. One of them had a dog fence around it and 6 dogs that bark and try to get over the fence when you walk by. Chcked out the bathroom but the door was broken and could only open it a few inches. The WiFi was so weak it was useless. Called the office but they weren’t interested in the issues. $88 is a ripoff for this place!

We had a lovely stay here during the middle of the week. There are only 54 (or so) sites with a big grassy area in the middle. Most of the sites on the north side have large trees around them helping bring shade in the morning or afternoon. The south side sites have less shade. The grounds are well kept and the bathrooms are adequate, but when we were in them they could have been a bit cleaner but nothing too bad. The sites all have large grassy areas around them even though the pads themselves are a bit narrow. All of the sites were fairly level. The Camp Host, John, is amazing and really keeps the place safe and peaceful.

Great stop off i80
Arrived to first entrance and contradicting signs about whether overnight stays are permitted. Drove first to reservoir…pretty with lots of honking geese. Drove to lower spot near a copse of trees because it was VERY windy. Train horn in the distance can be heard and many trains passed through, but none woke me. Dirt roads rutted in some places but easy even with my low-riding Scamp trailer (13’). Next morning I realized as I continued west that the other side of the reservoir is more developed with actual sites and maybe different guidance on camping. No one else around. Would definitely stay again.
