Rattin Campground is located 7 miles south of Red Lodge, Montana, just off the scenic Beartooth Highway. The area is a popular location for fishing, hiking and scenic driving. Greenough Lake is 8 miles away and is a popular area for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. The Beartooth Wilderness can be accessed via the Hellroaring and Lake Fork Trailheads, both of which are nearby. Beartrack and Corral Creek Trailheads are close by as well. Visitors also enjoy mountain biking and hiking on the Parkside National Recreation Trail. Hellroaring Road is open to off-road vehicles. Facilities This small campground offers single-family sites. Picnic tables and campfire rings with grills are provided, as are accessible vault toilets and drinking water. Natural Features The campground sits in the shadow of the Beartooth Range on the banks of Rock Creek. A forest of aspen and pine covers the area. A variety of wildlife, including grizzly bear, deer and elk, make their home in the surrounding area. Nearby Attractions The charming town of Red Lodge, Montana offers a variety of dining and lodging options, galleries, shops and summer events. The Home of Champions Rodeo is held on the Fourth of July weekend, Beartooth Bike Rally and Iron Horse Rodeo in mid-July, Mountain Man Rendezvous in late July and the Festival of Nations in early August. The Beartooth Highway was deemed "the most beautiful drive in America" by the late Charles Kuralt. It snakes across the rugged Beartooth Mountains from Red Lodge to Cooke City, Montana, and is the highest elevation highway in the Northern Rockies. Along the way, visitors are treated to sweeping views and plentiful outdoor recreation opportunities. Yellowstone National Park's Northeast Entrance is 60 miles from the campground via the Beartooth Highway. Limber Pine Campground is located 12 miles south of Red Lodge, in southern Montana. It is just off the scenic Beartooth Highway. The area is a popular location for fishing, hiking and scenic driving. Greenough Lake is a half-mile away. Glacier Lake, Hellroaring and Lake Fork trailheads are nearby. Sage Creek Campground is the only campground in the Pryor Mountains. It is located along the banks of Sage Creek. This farm is one of the only USDA certified organic Farms in the state of Wyoming, and is also home to Rocky Mountain Organic Meats.

Showers - Our on demand hot water Shower is located in a 10'x 10' cedar floor Wall Tent within our camping area. 

Activities - They say the best part of camping is sitting around the campfire at night; Wide open skies above you, the sound of coyotes howling in the distance. That stuff is real, not just fiction made up in spaghetti westerns, and that's why we have built a communal fire pit. Come on down and bring your harmonica, ukulele, guitar, djembe, or dobro!

If staying up late and burning the midnight oil around the fire isn't your thing there are numerous other activities on the ranch to partake in. We have a horseshoe pit, numerous hiking and mountain bike trails nearby, and you can also take a tour of the ranch and learn a little bit about where our nation's food really comes from.

Although abundant, camping in Wyoming is extremely sought after, especially near the park. Twelve campgrounds within Yellowstone National Park provide adventurers with plentiful options, but planning ahead is vital. The Canyon Campground allows easy access to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, a picture-perfect waterfall and river vista in the north-central region. Visit Artist’s Point and hike the 300 feet down to the lower falls to feel the rush of the Yellowstone River. 


For a more touristy experience, snag a site in the Madison Campground. Being one of the largest in the park and less than 20 miles from the famous geyser Old Faithful, this area is a go-to for first time visitors. Sitting at an elevation just below 7,000 feet, the crisp mountain air will refresh. This area gets a lot of traffic, so pack in your patience and remember that the parks are for everyone to enjoy. 


Camping in Wyoming also gives the chance to get off the grid. Grand Teton National Park is directly to the south of Yellowstone and allows for some easy-access backpacking. When done right, you can avoid the droves of humanity that flock to the Greater Yellowstone region. 


For an easy trek into the backcountry, get a scenic spot along Leigh Lake or String Lake. These camping sites are often booked months in advance, so get them quick! A hidden gem tucked in the shadow of Mount Moran is Bearpaw Lake and is also relatively accessible from the same trail. Remember your bear spray and enjoy some genuine Wyoming camping!

Sheridan

Off the beaten path with a quick commute to the center of town, this rare space offers solitude surrounded by picturesque views. Only one RV/camp site is available with plenty of parking. Tent camping is allowed in addition campers. There are no toilet/shower facilities available. The site offers a private escape with city water hook up along with electric (20amp, 30amp, 50amp). Free tank dump location is a short drive into Cody.



Loopy Lasso

The Bridger Campground is located at 301 E. Broadway Avenue. The campground is open to campers for a fee of $35 per night. ($10 per night for tent camping.)
