Granite Flat Campground is located a short distance up scenic American Fork Canyon, less than a mile from Tibble Fork Reservoir. Visitors enjoy fishing, canoeing and exploring local trails.
Nearby Tibble Fork and Silver Flat Reservoirs offer canoeing, kayaking and fishing for rainbow, brook and brown trout. A portion of the north shore at Tibble Fork is accessible. Both reservoirs are open only to non-motorized watercraft. Scuba divers frequent Tibble Fork's south shore. Hiking and mountain biking trails abound, some beginning at the reservoir and others nearby. The 6-mile Tibble Fork Trail, 2-mile Pine Hollow Trail, 3-mile Mill Canyon Trail and the 15-mile Ridge Trail are all in the vicinity.

Timpanogos Cave National Monument is just a few miles down American Fork Canyon, with a rewarding but steep 1.5-mile hike to a guided tour of the spectacular three-room cave system. The trail offers beautiful views of American Fork Canyon. American Fork Creek can be accessed 3 miles south. A favorite among fly-fisherman, the creek has light pressure for stocked rainbow trout. The 20-mile paved Alpine Loop Scenic Byway passes just a few miles from the campground, traveling through alpine canyons, mountain meadows, aspen groves and pine forests, with breathtaking views of the Wasatch Range. This road is not recommended for vehicles over 30 feet in length. Timpanogos and Lone Peak Wilderness Areas are nearby, offering a myriad of additional hiking and biking opportunities.

White Rock Bay Campground is great for groups of up to 16 people. Tents and self-contained RVs are welcome. Two equestrian sites are available. No water or electricity. Water is available at Bridger Bay Beach, the Dump Station, and the Visitor Center. Pit toilets only. Flush toilets and showers are located at Bridger Bay Beach, 2 miles away. Dogs on leash are welcome. Fires are allowed in designated fire pits only. Seasonal fire restrictions may be in place. Firewood is available at the park Visitor Center. Clean facilities, but no water or power. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Our site was right near the creek, well shaded, and reasonably separated from neighbors. There are hiking trails that lead to climbing walls; we watched one climber struggle for 20 minutes to get past an obstacle. The downside here is the road noise, which could be overwhelming sometimes when motorcyclists, ATVs, or overwound street racers sped by. Access to some amazing scenery in the Wasatch Mountains makes it worth a visit.

Very popular campground. Sites nestled in the trees. Occasional road noise. It is shows as first come first served but somehow people can make reservations ahead of time. We looked for a sign which said OPEN and camped there. Hosts are great.

Stopped on a Sunday evening during a westbound cross country journey. Our 20’ van had no issues circling the road to find an open First-come-first-served spot, but would advise not much longer of a rig. We had to figure out the rules for finding and paying for an open spot, but it was all fine. This is a popular campground with many sites reserved far in advance, so last-minute FCFS openings on weekends may be rare.
ScoutMy family of five enjoyed this campground. We got a site with access to the river which my kids really enjoyed. There was a fun giant "sliding rock" in the area to climb on. Lots of trees for hammocks. Downside is it's right next to a busy highway and picnic areas. Although the campsite has quiet hours, the picnic area across the street stayed loud well past quiet hours. The road noise was a lot more than I expected.. especially at night. Definitely bring ear plugs or plan to stay only a nite or two. We planned on staying three nights, but were so exhausted by lack of sleep we left a day early.
ScoutWish they had negative stars. Terrible camp hosts. Hosts are not what they are. Maybe they had a bad day, maybe they don’t know what they are doing. Whatever was the reasoning for their bad behavior is not acceptable. I’d steer clear of this one. You will not have a good experience. They will badger and control your every move. Belittle and berate. Not shoot straight and take advantage of you. Go somewhere else.

We stayed here for one night didn't go past the gate we just camped pretty much on the side of the dirt road next to the reservoir. It was really nice and quiet wildlife everywhere billions of stars to look at that night.

ScoutI drove out here to camp. The road there was amazingly beautiful, and very steep with lots of switch backs. The campground is wonderful spot. The camp host was very kind. Although, I could not stay here. There are no dogs allowed anywhere on Wasatch Mountain because it is a protected watershed. And there was a sign posted-no dogs. It would be good to update this on the Dyrt page. Saw a deer on my way out. Wish I could have stayed.
GuideCamp spots are snug but do the job. Love the shade and scenic views. Road noise is kinda drowned out by the river, but you can still hear it if you try. Wish there were showers. Great little secluded access points into the river. Awesome way to cool off. Would stay again!

We wound up at site 032. It’s small - too small for me to set up our suv tent so we spent a very squished night in the car. Neighbors we VERY close. Definitely road noise during the day. Other then that it was beautiful. Right by a stream, good hammock trees.

GuideI’ve camped here twice. Both were quite pleasant with clean bathrooms, large sites and friendly neighbors. It’s pretty close to park city so that’s pretty fun as well. Temperature in July was 98, but there’s lots of shade.

You can’t burn firewood but you can have a propane fire pit. There is a plant nearby so it kind of smells. And there’s a decent amount of road noise since it’s in town. It also backs up to an RV sales and service place which I think is pretty convenient! It’s gated too, which is also pretty great! Overall good spot and would definitely stay again.
TravelerI attended an outdoor conference at this campground. We set up our tents in some of the group sites and used other areas for the learning opportunities. The campground was well kept, the bathrooms clean, and the fire pits well maintained. Highly recommend!

Depending on the time of year, this place can be infested with bugs and flies. So plan accordingly. That being said, it is pretty awesome to see Buffalo.
GuideWe camped at site 40. Not the most ide spot with only one place to put a six-person tent (and it was on a slope). That site is close to road, so you hear some traffic. Plus, this site is next to a site where an RV burned down. RV is still there, but it's clear they're in the process of cleaning it up.
All this aside, the camp is beautiful and well maintained. Staff was friendly. Clean bathrooms.

It’s alcohol free campgrounds but clearly there was a group that was drinking and up until 2am with loud music.
Hwy traffic noise is louder near sites 11,12. Trail is busy with biking, skateboarding, short hikes, and is very close to campsites 11, 12 13. 9 seems to attract noise-makers lol
Overall, i’d try to find a site by the river next time, and more up front.
GuideBig urban park, concrete sites, minimal grass, a lot of long term folks. WiFi was ok bathhouses we’re new and clean and should have been adequate for the size of the park but a number we’re constantly locked, I assume to minimize cleaning costs. Maintenance is now what I would expect from a top notch park.
GuideWell kept grounds with friendly staff. All sites have concrete pull throughs. All amenities were clean and well maintained. Wifi issues connecting, didn’t work. Has pet areas, pool, play areas in which were all clean and usable.

GuideThe sites are tightly packed. The hook ups (especially sewer) are awkwardly to the far rear of the sites. All black top and gravel, which really gets warm on the hot July days. There is a fenced in dog relief area. The campground is right next to the base splash pad and a big park. Cheap $25 a night full hook ups was definitely worth the stay. There’s a nice few of the mountains and seeing/hearing the F-35 rip through the sky was awesome!
TravelerPlenty of nice sites, some pull through sites as well as double sites and group sites. Bathrooms always close by, no showers. All sites have a picnic table and fire pit. If you’re lucky, you can get a site close to the creek. Nice, cool nights in the summer.
