Convenient place if you’re exploring Devils Tower
Right at the entrance to Devils Tower. It can’t be any more convenient unless it was in the parking lot of Devils Tower. Nice place.

This is an absolutely gorgeous location right below Devils Tower. The camp ground is beautiful. With a wonderful gift shop, restaurant , outdoor movie nights, cabins, RV and tent sites that mingle thrushes valley.
Great campground, friendly staff, and beautiful view. We stayed for one night on a road trip and very much enjoyed our stay here.
Gorgeous view of Devil’s Tower from your campsite. Lots of people staying in one place, but the sites are semi-spaced out. The store is cute and staff was helpful. Had outdoor movie night but the pool was closed (not sure if that is due to COVID or not). The playground was super popular with all the kids. Overall, a nicely kept campground.
Rolled in late at night, had a perfect spot that we noticed that light which perfectly is set just outside base of devils tower nothing better than waking up to that morning and had breakfast with a gorgeous view of devils tower.
Was not sure if I wanted a KOA but if you want direct view from your campsite off the tower, this is the place. Well run campground.
Rolled in pretty late and they had our site info easily accessible in an envelope with my name on it on the front porch of the office. Unbelievable stars and an amazing view when we woke up!
Beautiful view of Devils Tower, nice campground, nice amenities. Enjoyed our time here! Even was able to see the comet!
Great KOA at the edge of the park. No a/c in the cabins. Plenty of souvenirs, a nightly movie and a great view of the Wyoming hills. Price is reflective of them having the only campground around.
But we could see why. This place has a fantastic view at the base of Devils Tower. It was VERY busy. Lots of families and off road vehicles (although it was holiday weekend, but I imagine this place stays busy). This was a last minute choice for us and we didn’t even end up using the facilities. We parked, cooked our dinner and watched the sunset from the back of our van. If you want to stay at Devils Tower this is pretty choice. (On site would have been better but closed due to Covid)
Pool, close encounters of the third kind on big screen outside at night with the tower behind it. Nice store. Good clean bathrooms/showers.
...but if you're planning on visiting Devil's Tower, this is a great choice. We got a basic spot with a firepit, but we just enjoyed the festivities around the Close Encounters 40th Anniversary viewing. All those people there and we were the only ones to have gotten there taking the same journey as Dreyfuss' Roy character. (Indiana to Devil's Tower, and in a Station Wagon, no less) The wagon has been dubbed "Roy" ever since. Clean bathrooms as well as the grounds in general. Good pricing too, considering everything.
There's not a lot of privacy, and only a few trees, but if you can get one of the spots on the edge facing Devil's Tower you cannot beat the view. Like most KOA's there's showers, flush toilets, and a general store. We snagged a spot on the outside near one of the few trees backing up to a creek and a nice red rock cliff.
Super cute cabin. Clean bathrooms. Nice pool. So close to Devils Tower. Nice store on premises. Would definitely stay again.
Everything I wanted. Easy check in plenty of sites. At the base of Devils Tower!! Great store & staff. They show the movie every night at an outdoor patio with the tower in the background, AWESOME!
You are camping at the gates to the park. Easy in & out of park. Must stay here
Great location. Right outside the entrance to Devils Tower. Amazing views and the movie (Close Encounters) after dark was nice. Fire ban due to dryness and winds was a bummer.
Nice campground. Camp store has a small selection of camping necessities and souvenirs. Great view of Devils Tower and you can view the campground from the trail around Devils Tower’s base. Pricing seemed a bit high, but I guess that’s the premium for the view.
Literally in the shadow of Devil's Tower. Neat area with lots to do. Only stayed one night, but had no complaints. Hot showers, clean bathrooms, and everything we needed. We were passing through and got in late.
I was a tent camper and this was great. There was this huge open space you could choose from and i just loved it! Right at the bottom of Devils tower. The best view ever. Very clean bathrooms and laundry facillity.
We arrived here on October 9th and the KOA was starting to shut down for the winter season, no laundry :(
The Tower is an astounding geologic feature that protrudes out of the prairie surrounding the Black Hills. It is considered sacred by Northern Plains Indians and indigenous people. Hundreds of parallel cracks make it one of the finest crack climbing areas in North America. Devils Tower entices us to learn more, explore more and define our place in the natural and cultural world.
Tent sites are in an open field with a handful of trees. The trade off is the wide open skies and STARS. Bathrooms and Showers are Awesome!
Entrance to Devils Tower National Monument is right outside the campground. View of Devils Tower from every campsite. Large camp store/gift shop and restaurant on site. Hayrides and showing of the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind nightly.
The location is at the foot of Devils Tower. The cabins are clean and a showerhouse with laundry services is provided. They also have a post office, dinner, two stores, and a convenience store across the street.
A great place to camp. The store was well stocked and we weren't far from hiking. the place was clean and well set up!
This campground is literally a 2 minute walk from tent to the park entrance! There’s a huge store with an ice cream shop and restaurant. The folks are really nice too. There’s a huge grass area for first come, first served tent camping, which I totally recommend! The Premium Tent (PT) sites are very large and can hold at least 3 8-person tents.
We stayed here for one night, but it was amazing! The campsite was spacious, clean, and the facilities were very nice!! We picked a site with a view and we didn’t regret that one bit! Probabky one of the nicest KOAs we’ve stayed at so far! Definitely recommend Devil’s Tower and definitely recommend this KOA!
Had a fantastic time here. Wonderful facilities. Best bathrooms and shower facilities I’ve ever seen for a campground. Excellent views of Devils Tower all around. played “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” every night at 8, so cool! Camp store is good for all the essentials and a bite to eat if you are tired of cooking. Plenty of places for pups to roam as well. Highly recommend staying here.
It is very close to the monument and has a great view of it. There was hardly anyone there when I camped with my family.
The staff was super nice, and I loved that they showed "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" every night during the summer with Devil's Tower in the background. The campground is right next to the national monument. The tent sites were somewhat exposed, but that gives a good view of the monument.
You can’t ask for a closer location, right at thebenterance gate to the National Monument. Clean with nice amenities, they show Close Encounter of the third kind which was filmed here every night in the pavilion and if you don’t want to watch it with others they have copies you can check out in the office. Only complaint I have is the cotton wood trees were making a mess but that’s not the campgrounds fault. My daughter walked around the campground at dusk and saw a variety of wildlife.
