Busy KOA

But we could see why. This place has a fantastic view at the base of Devils Tower. It was VERY busy. Lots of families and off road vehicles (although it was holiday weekend, but I imagine this place stays busy). This was a last minute choice for us and we didn’t even end up using the facilities. We parked, cooked our dinner and watched the sunset from the back of our van. If you want to stay at Devils Tower this is pretty choice. (On site would have been better but closed due to Covid)

This place is swank

This is definitely a large RV destination resort. Very nice and well kept. Bath houses have private showers with their own toilets and sink. Very clean. This place also has a pool and event center (though closed due to Covid). We stayed over Memorial Day as a last minute choice. Was very nice for an RV resort.

Right off the road

This little national forest campground is right off the main road. It’s quite open so not super private. Road noise during the day but was quiet at night. Not bad, it did in a pinch but not a destination.

Great place

Super clean and well maintained. Large park for kids. Has a pool but this wasn’t open while we stayed. Access to the lake is about 6 miles and access to national park activities close and easy to get to. Would recommend if you are KOA campers.

Basic but nice

This was a last minute stop for us and we ended up staying two nights. We were in Rangley to UTV and glad we found this place. We were the only ones there! Great shade throughout and this is welcomed in this high country desert. The bathrooms are serviceable at best. Not really clean, but useable. There are showers and dump station available. It was quiet and we felt safe there.

A hidden gem !

I’ve lived in Colorado for over 20 years and camped in Co before that and had never heard of this place. It is wonderful! Super clean campground with electric and pit toilets. Sites are fairly private and I think reservations would be helpful as it’s small and seems pretty popular. The hike to the falls is short from the day use area. It is amazing!!! The hike also has some great caves and allows you to go up and look down on the falls. This place is a great stop!
