Secluded primitive camping near Rushmore

This fairly private and secluded campsite just a few minutes from Mount Rushmore is a great spot if you don't need showers or other KOA-style amenities.

Large, tree-filled site within walking distance to the river.

Plenty of trees provide privacy in this nice National Park campsite that's just a short walk to the banks of the Little Missouri River. Has the standard National Park features, but our kids especially enjoyed the ranger presentation on prairie dogs.

Sparse site with a few better spots with good view of Devil' Tower.

There's not a lot of privacy, and only a few trees, but if you can get one of the spots on the edge facing Devil's Tower you cannot beat the view. Like most KOA's there's showers, flush toilets, and a general store. We snagged a spot on the outside near one of the few trees backing up to a creek and a nice red rock cliff.
