Bunchgrass Lake Campground sits within Colville National Forest, providing lakeside camping with a strict no-pets policy that distinguishes it from most Forest Service sites. The established campground offers direct access to the lake, making it suitable for campers focused on water activities without the complications of pet management.
Located roughly 11 miles from the Idaho border, the site serves as a base for exploring the broader forest system. Campers seeking additional options can explore camping areas around Nordman across the state line. The Forest Service maintains the facility year-round, though seasonal access may vary depending on snow conditions at this elevation.
Description
Bunchgrass LakeThis lake was originally maintained by a log dam and it contained native Cutthroat. The dam is now gone and very little water remains.
