East Sullivan

Within Colville National Forest, East Sullivan operates as a US Forest Service campground that accommodates both tent and RV camping year-round. The facility sits alongside Sullivan Lake and provides drive-in, walk-in, and boat-in access options for its 32 single sites, 6 double sites, and one group area that holds up to 40 people.

The campground maintains vault toilets, drinking water, and trash service across its forested terrain. Sites include picnic tables, fire rings, and designated tent pads, with spacing that allows privacy while keeping neighboring campers within earshot. RVs up to 55 feet can access the campground, though no hookups are available. Shella B. notes that "because there are no water/RV hook-ups, the place tends to be a little quieter."

Sullivan Lake offers swimming, kayaking, and fishing opportunities directly from the campground. The lake features a rocky and sandy bottom with clear water that reaches comfortable swimming temperatures during summer months. A day-use area provides additional picnic tables, grills, and a boat launch for lake access. Cell service reaches the campground, and firewood is available for purchase on-site.

Campers seeking a different lakeside experience can check West Sullivan Campground located just across the water.

Great campground in the wonderful Colville National Forest!

Campsite 36 in the Pine loop is just a short walk away from a lovely lake beach that has fire pits and picnic tables. The campsite itself is very nice, large, shaded, with a decent distance from neighboring campers as far as campgrounds go. I didn't do what I usually do and walk around the campground to see what the best site is to book during future visits, but I have zero complaints about this site. We really enjoyed our stay at Lake Sullivan and our excursions to Metaline Falls, Gardner Cave, Peewee Falls, Mill Pond Historic Site, and Crescent Lake.

Beautiful lake, nature, above average campground

The established campgrounds at East Sullivan and West Sullivan are typical well-maintained Forest Service campgrounds. The vault toilets are clean, the water pipes put out good water, and there is plenty of space between sites (though you can still expect to hear your neighbors). Because there are no water/RV hook-ups, the place tends to be a little quieter.

The lake itself is amazing. Perfect temperature for swimming on a hot day, clean as glass, rocky/sandy bottom and no weeds. We kayaked about half-way up the East side and found a private picnic/beach and spent the day there swimming and reading.

Nice campground by Sullivan Lake

It is a nice Campground on Sullivan lake run by the U.S. Forest Service.

It has all the amenities you would expect from a campground run by them. It has vault toilets, onsite trash pickup, and water. There is a day use area on the lake with picnic tables, grills, bathrooms and even a boat launch! It boasts 32 campsites, 6 double campsites, 1 group campsite(up to 40 people) all with picnic tables, fire pits, and tent pads. The pricing is as follows:

$20/single site

$40/double site

$75/group site

$10/Extra vehicle

$5/Day use

Overall This is a nice place with a few small towns close by incase you need supplies. I would check it out if in the area.
