Beautiful, quiet, clean

This little spot has five or six campsites that are spaced nicely and are all very clean.. First come first served, so you will see people driving in and out when they see everything reserved. Cleanest campsite restrooms I've ever seen. The small size means less chance of rowdy crowds. And the river adds alot of ambient noise that's awesome. Verizon cell service was almost nonexistent, but I didn't mind.

Smithfield Canyon

It is a favorite spot for us and our family. We often turn left on to the dirt road and pick a spot there. But you stay straight and it takes you in to a very nice campground with tables and toilets. Always an excellent place!!

Next to water, but no extra amenities

We stayed here for one night. At the time, we were caught in a rainstorm, but the campsite was nestled in a forested area accessed by a dirt road. This campground is easy to find, near the trailhead for hiking into the Mt. Naomi Wilderness area, and a good base camp for day hikes and other adventures. There was a small river to collect water from if you have a filter, a fire ring for campfires, but no tables, drinking water, or RV hookups.
