Best Cabin Camping near Mona, UT

CAMPER SUMMARY PRESENTED BYFord

Several cabin camping options surround the Mona, Utah area, with accommodations ranging from basic to fully furnished units. Oasis Campground at Yuba State Park offers cabins with lake views and electric hookups, providing a welcome retreat during hot summer days. "We planned to tent camp here, but our friends rented the cabin next to our site and couldn't make it last minute. So we got the cabin! Great spot. Lake is cool and an easy walk down from the sites. Shade is at a premium, so we were very happy to get the cabin because it was crazy hot," notes visitor David H. The Springville/Provo KOA Holiday provides cabin rentals with access to shared bathrooms and showers, while Orange Olsen cabins include private bathrooms with running water. Mammoth Cabin in Ephraim features spectacular porch views and drinking water access, though it lacks electric hookups.

Rustic cabins and more deluxe options are available throughout the region, with varying seasonal availability. Palisade State Park Campground operates year-round with cabin rentals that accommodate families, while Yuba State Park's season runs March through December. Pet policies differ significantly between locations, with Pleasant Creek RV Resort and Little Valley Campground allowing pets in their cabin accommodations, while Mammoth Cabin and Orange Olsen prohibit pets. According to Steven G., "The Dwelling is large enough to hold a really big family or two couples with small children. The cabin is pretty small but large enough for a family of four. Both have showers, toilet, with running water." Reservations are essential during summer months, particularly for weekend stays, as cabins often book completely several months in advance.

Most cabin rentals provide beds with mattresses but require guests to bring their own bedding, pillows, and towels. Kitchen facilities vary widely, from basic setups with only outdoor fire pits to more equipped units with microwaves, mini-refrigerators, and coffee makers. Payson Lakes Guard Station includes water hookups and electric service but lacks shower facilities. Heritage Grove Campground offers clean restrooms and showers near their cabins, with picnic tables at each site. Wind Walker Homestead provides cabin accommodations with drinking water and shower access. For groceries and supplies, campers should stock up before arrival, though some locations like Springville/Provo KOA and Pleasant Creek RV Resort maintain small on-site markets for basic provisions.

Oasis Campground — Yuba State Park

    Great Weekend Getaway

Awesome first camp of the year. Booked as soon as the state parks opened back up. Place really gave that “middle of nowhere feel”, lake and surrounding area were beautiful. Campsites were simple and bathrooms were nice. Only issue we had was we accidentally booked a site without electric. Could’ve been more clear on website, but also likely a rookie mistake being our first camp in Utah

Oasis Campground — Yuba State Park

    Much nicer than beach camping

The campground is spacious, has showers, running water bathrooms, fire pits, cement pads and pavilions. Great place to camp- much better than being on the beach- due to the wind! Yuba beach is always windy and the oasis campground gives some reprieve

    Orange Olsen

    Great cabins for the cost.

I really want to give a poor review so no one else will take my future reservations.  However, they really are in a great location and easily accessible.  The Dwelling is large enough to hold a really big family or two couples with small children.  The cabin is pretty small but large enough for a family of four.  Both have showers, toilet, with running water.  The lake is about a mile down the road. The nearest open boat dock is on the other side of the lake (~3 miles).  The ATV trails are endless and right out the driveway is access to Skyline Drive AKA God's Country.  Fishing is good at Joe's spring and fall. Summer time is better for swimming and wake boarding.  The smaller lakes and ponds are better suited for summertime fishing.  Luckily the are short drives.  Not much of a rock climber but I know the only reason my in-laws come is to go drag themselves up a rock while I wet a fly.  Overall a pretty laid back place to spend a few days relaxing.

    Springville / Provo KOA Holiday

    Nicely run, just too cramped

This KOA is very nicely run. It's clean and we'll kept. The backdrop of mountains and colors are gorgeous. It's just very cramped. Your door opens right to the neighbors hookups. There are strips of grass between but they hold half of a picnic table.

This is a good spot to hook up and top off for a night or two, or if you're planning on staying inside, or if you're going to head up into the mountains for hiking and leave the rig behind.

Can't comment on the cabins but they seem nice and the amenities areas are very nice as well. I just prefer a little space when I'm camping.

Oasis Campground — Yuba State Park

    Nice facilities, well-maintained

Spent a night here. Nice facilities, with covered picnic tables at each RV spot, water, and most with electric. Nearby dump station. Some grass and green areas for dogs. Adequate shower facilities. Pretty scenery, and several miles away from the interstate so very quiet. There was an algae bloom that made lake hazardous, so we kept dogs away from the water.

Oasis Campground — Yuba State Park

    Serene

This is a great spot on your way through or just for a weekend getaway. Each spot has a cover over the picnic table and most spots have a view of the lake. The spaces are pretty far apart and you have a decent amount of privacy.

There is a lot to do including camping swimming 🏊‍♀️ on the beaches, and water is warm. The campground ⛺️ is about 25 miles south of Nephi. Recreational opportunities include camping, 🛶 , swimming, fishing, and ATV/dirt bike 🏍 paths.

There is developed and primitive camping is available at Oasis and Painted Rocks campgrounds and at the beach areas. There is a lot to fish for including northern pike, walleye, yellow perch, wiper, and catfish year-round.

Well it's your topical RV resort. It doesn't have a fire ring and it's by train tracks and a freeway. Also, your packed in like sardines. However, it will do for overnight. I have to say it is clean and kept up well. But if you're into private camping with space, this isn't for you.

Oasis Campground — Yuba State Park

Super clean and lots of space

We loved camping here for a couple days. The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed being a little more secluded in our site. Lots of green grass and the sites are great with a sunshade over the tables and great fire pits. We stayed in an trailer, but each site had a tent pad that is well taken care of.
