Sunglow Campground

This campground is small but there seemed to be plenty of space between sites. It felt quite private and was such a nice sanctuary from the National Park crowds. I reserved site two. It was quite nice with room for one tent. Some sites were much larger, while others were pretty small and probably better for van campers. Get there early enough and you should have some options. Flush toilets and water were a nice benefit.

Nice spot for a night, was surprised it didn’t get full in a saturday night in early may. cows from a nearby feedlot are fairly vocal nonstop. what looks like a vault toilet turns out to have a flush toilet and sink! cool rocks.

We used the group side using rooftop tents. We had a great view quiet evening. Bathrooms were good too.

Me and my friend stayed in loop A which is the very last sight in the campground. The views are insane!! Beware that this site is connected to a bunch of public trails so there will be people who will want to go through your site. Giant picnic tables and campfire set up. Was really nice for me my friend and my dog to stay for night would highly recommend! There is also a water pump on site.

Made an audible and camped here before passing through Capitol Reef. There’s not many spots but I lucked out and got the last one. The place is true to its name and is surrounded by fiery sunset reflections on the red rocks. Had a nice stay but was swarmed by mosquitos (mid June) so come ready.

We happened upon this campground and luckily there was one spot left - site 1. We caught a beautiful sunset against the red cliffs as we set up camp. Our tent was close to a little stream that was really pleasant to listen to as we fell asleep. The flush toilets were very clean and well maintained. And we had a camp cat show up! Never had a feral cat join us for a cook out before. We loved this site and would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful place. It is about a 15-20 minute drive from Capitol Reef National Park. Bad: Tent sites are small. Depending on the site, you will have to put your tent on the gravel spots for cars. Not many sites. I imagine on a spring/summer weekend it will fill up. Not lots of shade, but some juniper trees. Good: Flush toilets where a pleasant surprise. Great scenery. Kids wanted to explore all over. The red rock cliffs are pretty. It is close to town if you need something, but at camp it doesn’t feel close to town. We got there at 2 pm on a Thursday in July and only one spot had been claimed.

Primitive camping with nice tables, and bathrooms, and fire pits. It can get hot here in the summer and it is nice that they have drinking water at the campsites. They have a big group site that can be reserved and it will hold lots of people. Lots of fun hikes close by. Lots of fun hills for the kids to climb.

We enjoyed camping in one of the two group sites. Our two tent trailers fit nice and there was a lot of space for the kids to run around. Each site has water and the bathrooms were clean with sinks and flush toilets.

It was a little crowded in the designated areas so we found a dispersed camping spot a little down the road. Very pretty area. Very close to Capital Reef.

It's first come first serve and the cost $12 per night. Bathroom with running water. 20 minute drive to Capitol Reef. The sites were nice some bigger than others. Of the 9 sites, 2 were for groups and were to be reserved.
