Faver-Dykes State Park Campground

Google easy great with directions there It’s way down rutted wet road off Hwy 95 Wasn’t even sure I was going correct way as so far back in woods in dirt road But arrived Campsites are dirt and somewhat level Raining before and during my stay sl lots of puddles and sandy mud Bathroom s clean and 2 shower stalls with hot and cold water Electric and water at sites plus picnic table in each site Some sites tricky to back into if you have longer that 20 foot rig Trees are low hanging coming into and going out of park so would not come here if over 12 feet high or 2O feet long

The campsite & bathhouse was clean and well maintained. The park rangers were all helpful & friendly.

Another good Campground. We  enjoyed our stay.

Far down a dirt road and very quiet you wouldn't know you were that close to the interstate. Only complaint would be the distance the dumpsters are from the CG

The Faver-Dykes State Park has a small campsite area that has about 30 site spots good for small campers and even tents. The campsite had a really clean bathroom shower house combo. The bathroom/shower house facility was a little bit older, but very well maintained. The campsites are very tropical, with tons of forest in between sites giving great privacy. The whole campsite was completely sand, from where we parked our camper to the “road” to drive on. The campsite did have a gate code for entrance during the evening hours/early morning hours. We paid a total of$61.95 for two nights. It is$18 per weekday night and a$6.70 reservation cost and a$7 utility fee per night. There was a kayak/canoe launch for the Pellicer Creek. We were 30 minutes south of Historic Downtown St. Augustine, but amenities like a grocery store were less than 15 minutes away. We had water and electric hook ups only but there was a dumpsite on the property.

The campground is beautiful. There is a nature trail, as well as kayaking and canoeing. It is a wonderful spot for camping. There are nice places to park and shade within where you camp. The best thing is that all the park rangers are very courteous and helpful throughout the whole stay. They made this visit here the most enjoyable of all. I recommend this place to everyone and will definitely visit again soon.

Great little hidden gem campground. Clean with electric, water and bathrooms. Only 30 sites, many with lots of trees and shade.

Wasn’t much special about this place. Signs everywhere to warn about ticks. Thankfully we didn’t get any. The campground is very far from the entrance.

They did promise a refund.  We booked for 14 days Easter day till 18th. They offered the overflow area, dry camping overnight.

I was a little concerned about the tick activity based on previous reviews. It was cool with lows in the 40s and highs in low 70’s. The trails were well-maintained and did not have any ticks. The park has a fantastic accessible canoe kayak launch site. I expect that bug activity would increase when temperatures are higher based on the vegetation.

Princess Place Park is a great place to visit. See previous reviews. Another great place to visit is Washington Oaks Gardens State Park. 

Nice place! Has a great drive in. Plenty of wild life. Has a great 2.6 mile trail. Very secluded and quiet. Watch out for those no see’ms.

Left park after one night because of ticks. There were tick warning signs posted. The park is small and quiet. Our site (28) was loose sand.

This was an easy park to get our motorhome into. The sandy road was a little bumpy in some areas but mostly smooth. The sites are wide and because of the vegitation almost impossible to see your neighbors. The camp hosts keep each site impeccable and the bath house were very clean. At night you will be surprised at how many raccoons inhabit the park.

Off the beaten track. Nice sites. Boat ramp and small dock for fishing. Would stay there again.

Nothing too special here just basic campsites, ours was pretty shaded so that was nice. No camp store but clean bathrooms and a nice picnic area. Only problem we had were ticks! They were literally everywhere and we were constantly picking them off ourselves and our dogs.

Isolated . Quite and very natural. We saw deer 🦌 on the long winding road to the state park, every day. It’s about to undergo rehab to improve the facility starting August 1.

Peaceful and relaxing . The place for a real camping experience . Close enough to visit Old St Augustine town and beaches.

We spent 3 nights here. It was not as close to things we like to do (mountain biking, beach) as we had hoped but within 30 minutes of Mala Compara. A great place for kayakers. Nice boat launch! We hiked the 2.5 mile trail which was nice but dont forget the bug spray. The bugs were quite annoying and we returned with quite a few ticks. Overall a nice, quiet location.

I have stayed at Faver Dykes several times, very remote campground set deep in the woods. Lots of wild animals including deer, raccoons, possums, armadillos and tons of birds! Fishing and kayaking access on the Moultrie Creek, 30 minutes from St Augustine and even closer to the beach. Sand/dirt roads can get rough when rainy. Bring bug spray!!

Amazing little spot. Everything from camping to fishing. Close to saint Augustine and Daytona.
