South of Edinburg in the Rio Grande Valley, Sandpipers Nudist Resort operates year-round as a clothing-optional camping destination. The facility accommodates large RVs up to 73 feet in length, making it accessible for big rig travelers exploring the southernmost reaches of Texas.
Located roughly 13 miles from camping near McAllen, the resort sits in an area where winter temperatures draw seasonal visitors from northern states. The clothing-optional policy distinguishes it from conventional campgrounds in the region, attracting guests comfortable with naturist recreation.

Directions
From Highway 281 heading south, exit onto FM 2812, go west (right). For those of you who drive by landmarks, look for the Love’s Truck stop on the east side of 281 and the TA Truck Stop on the west side of 281. Go west on FM 2812 for about a mile until you come to a dead end. Go north (right) on Seminary Road and go about another mile until the road dead ends at the Sandpipers’ gate (look to your right). If you rely on your GPS systems, don’t on your first time over, as they tend to run you around a bit.
